- Dunks are worth three points
- Made 3-point shots that don’t hit the rim are worth four points
- If you miss a free throw, your team loses a point
- Any shot made in the last three seconds of any quarter is worth eight points

What if the world’s greatest players competed under these rules? If we could only imagine …

Thought this was interesting. If these rules got implemented this season... who gains the most? Who loses the most?

Well obviously the Lakers with the Free Throw rule. They'd finish a game with negative points.

I think it makes the heat the favorites even more so.

For sure. They get a lot of dunks, they make a lot of 3s and they are one of the best FT shooting teams in the league.

It would be interesting to see for sure. What's kind of funny is playing a few games with that ruleset would force a lot of teams to improve their defense and free throw shooting big time.

The Clippers team would be the most intersting team to watch...

Yeah they would dunk a lot and get the 3 points, but what happens when D jordan & Black get sent to the line.

And Howard would just sit out the year.

Lakers should be good at this. Nash and Kobe getting 4 point shots, Nash and Kobe keeping their team from losing points over free throws, Nash and Kobe with the last second shots. Howard with the dunks. If Howard could hit free throws, Lakers would do really well with these rules.

In theory...

Kobe would make it up with his 8-pointer shots. ;)

All the good teams would become insanely good and all the bad teams would become insanely bad.

A missed dunk probably gets you life in a concentration camp. If you don't believe me google the "three generation rule". The old Kim Jong made saddam look like mother Teresa pretty much. The treatment Iraqi athletes endured would be nothing compared to what these guys would face.

The rules sound interesting but you'd have to throw out years of records. Maybe international/Olympic play?
