These dudes should get fined for complaining about the officiating like everyone else does. Nobody wants to hear the commentators ***** about the refs like children who just got their toy taken away. Its one thing to call out its a bad call when the replay is on, but you shouldn't sit there and act like its some monstrosity that there was some human error late in the game.

But I mean when your C is on a full sprint from half court like a PG and blasts through a guy who's clearly outside the circle and has been standing there in position with plenty of time to spare you just gotta cut your losses. Even pretending thats a bad call just makes you look silly as someone who's supposed to be at least somewhat unbiased commentator.

Not for nothing but they're the spurs commentators and a former spurs player they don't Have to be unbiased.

George Hill is pretty damn good himself and has a very bright future. Both teams got what they wanted I think. Both are going to be elite role players more than 2nd option type stars IMO. I see a little Derek Harper in Hill on a lesser level and a little Deng in Leonard but Kawai should end up a little better. I think a franchise player needs to carry a bulk of the offense and I don't think Leonard can do that.

I disagree. Leonard is still young and is def capable of being a primary scoring option. He doesnt get his chance right now because he is probably the 4th option.

Franchise player? Who knows, but he def has the tools on both ends of the floor.

I love Kawai, I just don't really see that in his skillset. I see a top notch role player and fringe all star and winning player, but I don't see the offensive repertoire or foundation for that type of game unless you averaging 18 ppg hitting jumpers and driving off dishes from the creator of the offense. Shouldn't the franchise player be the guy you run your offense through? Either through the post, or as a PG, or as an elite perimeter threat.

This is his first real season. Last year no training camp or anything. If you watched him at all last year compared to this year, its a very big improvement. That game he had against the bulls without the big 3 was a prime example dropping 26 and doing a lot of the ball handling.

And Pop says he wants to be great. Not just good. He's worked a ton on his mid range game and coming into the league, the general consensus was he couldn't shoot. I think he's very capable to be quite honest.they obviously aren't running the offense thru him now, but its a process. And he's showing great potential.

I didnt say he is a franchise player right now. He is showing steady improvements in multiple areas though,, and for a 21 year old that is encouraging. His ball handling, mid range j, and three ball are night and day from a year ago. He doesnt need to be a "franchise" player right now when you stoll have Parker, Manu, and Duncan on the team. Leonards time will come.

I'm rooting for the kid, and it looks like Parker's got plenty left in the tank to bring him along at his own pace. I probably need to watch some more Spurs games, and I have seen some terrific mid range moves and drive and dishes from him tonight. Sort of reminds me of the path Paul George made to becoming an all star. It was tough to gauge if he had the foundation to expand his game and make the leap or was going to be that type of high level role player but not a guy who can help carry a team.

This is definitely a much improved and different team than last year's team that melted down. They are the only team that could not only beat the Heat, but actually control the series and take them out in 5, 6 games. They are the most underrated "great" team in the league, and they're extremely deep and disciplined. If the heat make it to the finals, Pop will easily out-coach spo.

I was confused to go into the Lakers forum and see like every Lakers fan prefer to play SAS over LAC and OKC. It baffled me...especially LAC.

Especially because the logic was "The Spurs never beat the Lakers in the playoffs"...as if anything that's happened 1+ year ago actually matters.

I think most of our train of thought was that the Lakers and Spurs have played two games that were pretty close. One they lost on a game winner and the other by 5 points. First game missing Nash, second game missing Howard, Gasol, Blake, and Hill.

I think most rational fans know chances are slim vs either but we think at least the Spurs are as old as us and won't try to run us out the building like a track team

And then there are the fans that think because the Shaq Kobe Lakers had success against them 10 years ago we start off each game with a 10 point advantage.

I definitely think a few teams can beat them. Clips, OKC and the Spurs are teams I'd take over them. Definintely a dark horse, but they aren't a great road team, they aren't bad, but I'd take the experience of those teams over them in a 7 game series... plus their home court advantage lol.

Their home play is great. Any series with them could very likely go 7 for the top teams.

It does sort of change in the playoffs to game plan and adjust game to game, and figure out what works and what doesnt. But if they don't have home court it'll be a struggle for them I think

Absolutely. Karl has had some stacked/deep teams in Denver before, but it just doesn't seem to work out. Their defense always seems to collapse in the playoffs. I think that's on Karl too, not the players.

Game 6 against OKC he had like 25 or 26 and 14 boards. The whole "they ran out of gas" is a common misconception. That game in itself was tough to swallow for several reasons, but its done and over with.

Sometimes, a team gets hot at the right time. Example, OKC won game 4 by I think 5 points. Perkins/Ibaka shot acombined 18/20. I mean they literally could not miss. Sometimes, a team can just get hot at the right time. OKC did. And a guy named Harden who made big plays is not there anymore. No reason not to think if healthy, they can't make another push. And btw they were healthy last year.

This year, in a normal season, Duncan has missed games, Parker is missing games, Leonard missed games, Manu missed games. Those guys should be plenty rested and fresh come playoff time.

Actually alot of Knick fans including myself preferred Lee... it was just a question of, will anyone else want to come to NY to play with Lee?

I don't know, but I do know as soon as Amare signed the whole Melo, Parker, CP3... all those guys started showing interest in coming.
