2008= Spurs vs Celtics
2011=Lakers vs Heat

Hypothetically , if these two teams made out of thier respective conferences that year which two teams wins thier seven game series?

Might aswell put LeBron vs Kobe from 2009 to 2011

But no one was gonna beat the Celtics in 2008 imo, no matter how many 7 game series they had

With the way LeBron played in 2011 Finals, I might have to say Lakers but with LeBron being LeBron I would have Heat in 5, maybe 6 because Kobe hasn't had any luck playing them

HEAT vs Spurs 2005

Wade in his Prime...

If the HEAT could have played the Spurs back in 2005, and came out of that series as champions...OMG!

Wade might have had back to back titles in his prime, and that would have gave Timmy his 1st finals defeat.

I can't stand you Damon Jones!

Phoenix vs Cavs in 2007. Had David Stern not basically rigged it for the Spurs, the Suns probably would have won it that year.

Agree. The Suns would have won it that year as well. 2006/2007 was a very weak year.

Lakers vs pistons 90 undo the tie finals.
Lakers ( with magic) vs Bulls 92 part II
Suns vs Knicks 94 knickd could have won.
Lakers vs Bulls 97 or 98 Shaq vs Jordan in the finals.
Spurs vs HEAT in 98
Lakers vs nets part II 03 fourthpeat?

I'm going to be 20 and I started watching Basketball in 2004, so the Finals I was hoping to see

2005-Spurs vs Heat (still feel a little sore over that ECF)
2009-Cavaliers vs. Lakers (prime Lebron vs. prime Kobe)
2011-Lakers vs. Heat (Lebron/Wade/Bosh vs. Kobe/Gasol/Bynum)
2013 Spurs vs. Heat (really hoping we get this series this year)

It's always going to be LAL vs MIAMI now because of LeBron vs Kobe. We need that one matchup to settle this once and for all. After Kobe is gone, it's Durant vs LeBron.

Or had Steve Nash not overreacted to a hit that Robert Horry put on him, Amare & Diaw would have been there for the whole series and maybe won

But I think the biggest one we missed was MJ vs Hakeem, arguably the two greatest of all time

Celts vs okc last year, we got hosed by the refs in the ECF, i dunno who wins the finals but i know we had to beat the heat and the refs and it was too much to overcome.Mind you what happened happened and im not trying to whine

Lol that was not an overreaction. Horry literally tackled Nash into the boards, and he wouldn't deny it. He had that "I don't give a ****" smirk on his face right after cause he knew he was unimportant. They don't call him cheap shot Rob for nothing

Cavs/Lakers in 2009
Heat/Lakers in 2011

Im taking Lakers in both because of Phil and Kobes heart and desire to win over Lebron.

IMO the Rockets would've beaten LA in '09 if Yao could've stayed healthy. They forced 7 games without him. That would've lead to a Houston/Denver Finals against the C's.

I would have loved to see Hakeem's Rockets face Jordan's Bulls at least once in the Finals, even if the Rockets lost. I think it would have been a phenomenal series. I especially think the 96-97 team with Hakeem, Clyde and Barkley would have been really fun to watch.

Lebron vs. Kobe in his prime would have been something.. Now? Not so much.. It would still be fun to see though, it just wouldn't have the same atmosphere.

I gotta agree with you. Lakers/Cavs in 2009 would have been something special. It wouldn't be the same now because Kobe is past his prime.

The exaggeration on that particular topic sometimes is hilarious :laugh:

I wonder how many people actually saw the video where Nash admitted he "sold" the way he fell a little more than he needed to.

Sucks we will never get to see them play in thier primes. We might see a show down but it doesn't really count anymore, Kobe will be 35+.

Stern HATES the Spurs... when has he ever rigged anything? The Suns' players shot themselves in the foot when they came off the bench during a fight. The league has rules for that sort of thing. It was 'rigging' the finals for the Spurs.
