Sex.com ......

One Condition ...... Lebron Also Has to partake in the competition

March 4th, 2013 – As passionate basketball fans, the team at Sex.com was thrilled to hear about Magic Johnson’s million dollar offer to Lebron James. In hopes of making the 2014 NBA Slam Dunk Contest a historic event, Sex.com has reached out to Kobe Bryant’s agent Rob Pelinka and the NBA to entice Kobe Bryant to participate in the Dunk Contest for the first time since 1997.

Sex.com is offering $5 million to the charity of Kobe Bryant’s choosing for his participation in the 2014 NBA Slam Dunk Contest. However, this offer is conditional. It depends on Lebron James entering the 2014 NBA Slam Dunk Contest with Bryant.

Bryant and James are both members of the NBA’s elite and fans often debate who is the better player between the two. Sex.com wants to ensure that basketball fans get to see the two superstars use their talent and creativity.

“…We at Sex.com feel it is important for the sport of basketball that Kobe and Lebron face-off in the dunk contest and we want to be part of this historic event. The NBA’s best players used to enter. Jordan versus Dominique had us on the edge of our seats. It would be a shame for these exceptional player to let pride take priority over sportsmanship…” says Sex.com’s Director of Marketing J.L. Marcoux.

Lebron should win it, but I would love to see Kobe do it just for nostalgic purposes. What the man can do at his age with 17 years of pro ball on his body is unreal. His longevity is unmatched by any wing or guard in history.

It would be cool but not exactly fair. Kobe has lost athleticism and while he can still easily dunk, he's paid his due in winning a contest already in 1997.

Lebron James needs to compete and stop being a b***h

These companies need to be saying...

"We'll give $3 million to a charity of Player X's choice if he does it, and $5 million to Player X's charity if he wins".

I think that would pressure them a bit more.

Not that I think anyone should be pushing these guys to do some silly exhibition event.

sp1derm00

They should also consider offering that $5 million for a 1 on 1 contest in which both Kobe and Lebron are participants.

That, would be a sick offer that actually makes sense. Kobe is going to be 35 at the time of the 2014 Dunk Contest. Kobe has a better shot at winning a 1 on 1 contest vs Lebron at that age than winning a dunk contest.

Their also promoting/advertising their website. These companies aren't wasting money by putting money out just like that. half of the money is probably what it cost to make a advertisement.and the other half you can say its a endorsement. a big name well known person accepting the deal. Look at nikes paying lebron and kobe more than what they make from NBA salary. i don't know how they turn around hundreds of million dollar into profit from endorsement alone.

I understand that. Sorry, I must have worded it wrong. I meant that from Kobe's perspective, that money will do a lot of good for a lot of people and it's such a large sum that to turn it down would be ridiculous.

If they can get 5 stars (6 when you count the reigning champ), I can't see why the pool of money can't reach 8 digits. Lebron, Rose, Westbrook, Griffin, Kobe and Ross. If Kobe doesn't wanna do it then invite Josh Smith or Rudy Gay.

Sex.com offers that 5 million because that company knows Kobe would never do it. It's just free advertising. We're all now talking about sex.com. Heck, they could have offered 10 million if they wanted. Also, Lebron probably doesn't want to lose to some no namer that can't get off the bench. By not entering the contest, he can have guys begging him to be in and assuming he'd be great.

Blake Griffin is probably the best dunker anyway. Half of his dunks in games are better than anything I saw at the contest. Forget the car dunk, Griffin can just re-do some of the aerial dunks he catches mid air and stuffs in the basket with his hand half way into the rim.

I don't want any of these stars to get extra for being in the contest. MJ, Dominique and Carter never needed incentive to get in the contest and show them who's boss.

03-05-2013, 08:39 PM
It wouldn't have to be all superstars, but you should have some in there. I think LeBron, Griffin, Westbrook maybe a Rudy Gay would be enough of a headliner and you could sprinkle guys like JR Smith, Shannon Brown, Nate Robinson in there. The fans just want to know who the **** they are rooting for, you don't necessarily need 6 guys out of the top 20 players.

rocketfuel
03-05-2013, 10:10 PM
Nah. I'm tired of seeing a decade full of bench players. It's time to get some stars in here. Like one of the posters here stated: "It's not all-fringe saturday night." Until Lebron proves it, Blake is still the best dunker. I'm tried of him ducking out of the contest. MJ would never do that.
