The Warriors really gotta stop this slide. If they can't beat Philly they're in trouble.

I like the Bulls to win at home against a team on a back-to-back.

The Bucks are better than the Raptors and are at home. Big game though. I think Toronto is dead if they lose this.

Blazers win at home.

Stephen Curry > your favorite shooter ever. He really is on a silly rampage.

I'm with you...I'm going on the "Steph Curry is the GOAT shooter" crusade too. I'm a believer now. 4 years is somewhat small of a sample size, but it's the most impressive. Nash, and some others, can match Curry's first 3 seasons, but this 4th, based on the # of attempts, blows them all away.

God Brooklyn has some of the worst pick and roll defense. It's gotten to the point where there back court is trying to help with the inside scoring leading to wide open 3's from Nate and Hinrich.

I said in the beginning of the season although Nets have a ton of talent there downfall would be their inside defense and rebounding. I haven't paid much attention to them outside of when they have played the Bulls but It seems that way.

I don't know about "embarrassing", this is the last game of a 5 game road trip against most of the Easts best teams, but it's a game they need to win. Sixers are 12/18 from three though, can't beat that most nights.

Yeah I hear you man I really like Lopez offensive game but the rebounding and defense really hurt that team. I basically put him in the same group of Boozer he's the better scorer and Boozer is the better rebounder but they both really suck at defense. I'm just very confused why Lopez knows so little about defense with his size and athletism Nets coaching tree has really hurt his growth as a player. They should really consider Van Gundy next year.

SVG supposedly turned us down. And Lopez isnt as bad on defense as you're inferring, he's just inconsistent. His rotations and pick and roll defense is still not there but he has become a legit rim protector. If he had a legit PF next to him his defense and offense could open up tremendously, but thats not the case with Hump/Reggie/Tele.

Definitely. Huge example of this is when he left Reggie Evans on Delfino for most of the night when we faced the Rockets. He ended up torching us and PJ wondered why.

Amare was a great shot blocker that doesn't mean he was a good defender. I'm using a small sample size but what I've seen today is a guy who doesn't know how to defend the pick and roll and the Bulls have really taken advantage of it.

I've watched him for his entire career. I could see the Amare argument working a few years ago but not now, he has been so much better and isnt clueless. I'm telling you, he'd be even more improved than he is now if he had a PF next to him that could play a lick of defense. Reggie cannot.

I'll take your word for it must just be having a bad night defensively. The 2 rebounds isn't helping either. But it's not always easy to rebound when you have to face 2 guys that have put up 20% trb in seasons before.

Hah poor Lopez I really do like his offense but I'd never want a center who rebounds as terribly as he does considering his size. It's just a lack of toughness. Get in there and do the dirty work that is the difference between winners and losers.

You guys have a very talented core just need some tweaks to your team. If Somehow you can get rid of a few bad contracts like Hump and get a defensive minded PF who can do the dirty work and make up for Lopez rebounding. Zach Randolf comes to mind as the perfect player for you guys good rebounder hard nosed player and he can score in the post while Lopez stands in the mid range. He's not really the defensive player you guys need but he can help with other things. You can find a defensive PF in every draft every year.

Humps contract will be VERY valuable next year, so hopefully we can improve at PF via trade next season or move up on draft night.

This team just frusturates me so much because we can be so much better. One night it looks like we're a top 5-6 team in the NBA, the next it looks like we're a lottery team. But I guess all first year teams say that.

Yeah it will be a nice contract to get I'm just not sure it will be a contract people want to start the season. Around the trade deadline next year I can see a lot of teams trying though. I'd take that deal if the Bulls could get rid of Boozer. I'd rather try to get Bargs then Hump though the things Hump does well rebounding we already have that we need a PF to spread the floor Bargs comes to mind until we can make a run at Love.

:laugh2: If he wasn't making so much I'd still like him as a role player though you know what I mean? Come off the bench and do the dirty work. He much like half of Nets roster hasn't been used right. That organization still has a ways to go to reach the potential they need. They have done a really bad job getting players better.

Yep. Not a knock on Lopez but that part of the game is really important.

Also, why don't the Nets just dump the ball inside to him more, especially in the 2nd half and late in games? He can score, ya gotta give him that.

I don't know about better but definitely all 3 of them are equally good passers. I think Marc and Noah are a little better but Pau is no slouch

I honestly think him and Scottie Pippen are the best triangle players I've ever seen. Even though they weren't the best on their teams during the Triangle System they really knew how to use it to their advantage. Pau really needs to get back into that system still suprised Shaw hasn't gotten an opportunity to become a head coach.

Noah is the better ball handler of the 3 but they're all great passers. It's amazing to me how high Noah and Marcs ast% is. To have Centers in the 17-18 ast% range is just crazy. You can see some point guards in the NBA that hover around 20%

Yep I really like Barnes but It's probably a good thing for those players the Nets didn't get them. They seem like they don't really know how to teach the young players how to get better. There coaching staffs have really screwed up the potentials of these guys. Look at Lopez and Brooks two very talented players that really haven't learned how to become all around players. Brooks is still only in his second year so there is time. Lopez on the other hand has just been failed by the organization. You have a 7 foot Center with athleticism who still has no idea how to rebound and defend.

Noah came into the league as a really really raw player and had to suffer with Vinny for a few years and when Thibs came over he became not just a energy guy but a skilled player who has really become a good post defender and a good perimeter player. Taj Gibson has become one of the best defensive PF in the NBA. Omer Asik is one of the best post defender in the NBA. Jimmy Butler turning into a guy who is really going to be a very solid rotation player who can eventually become a starter with his defense and ability to rebound and finish at the rim. Marcus Teague is still a rookie but I wouldn't be shocked at all in a few years he's one of the best back up pgs in the nba.

Nets need to find a coach who can really show these guys how to play defense and improve their game who is that coach? I'm not sure but there are plenty of great coaches in the NBA who haven't been given a shot yet.
