Magic just offered $1,000,000 to the winner.

Do you think players will start dunking?

No one cares what you think, go away. You think every thread is pointless.

It is kind of lame that he offered this the week after the contest. We can get back to this in 50 weeks. I like the offer though.

Lebron definitely isn't going to do it. He probably already showed off half his dunks in pre-game.

Some of his dunks are honestly just as good as the ones we see in the dunk contest now.

He will do it, and get absolutely blasted by people for doing it just for the money, but all the proceeds will go to the Boys and Girls Club.

A million isn't gonna get the stars in it.

What needs to happen is the league (or a few guys like Magic) offer up 3-5 million that goes to the winner's charity of choice (the other guys get money donated to their too, just not as much obviously). I honestly think stars will be more pressured/inclined to do it if there's charity money on the line.

But a million bucks of Magic's money ain't swaying ****.

Why are we paying them so much to dunk. I miss the days these things were because guys were competitive

Lebron should donate 1 mil to a random charity tomorrow and tell Magic to suck it. If the guy doesn't want to be in the dunk competition at this point in his career, what's the big deal? He's not 18 anymore and if he actually did it, it would still be underwhelming.. We'll all still complain until the next Vince Carter comes along.

I agree. If they put up that much money to go to charity, they could probably attract a lot of stars. Honestly, it would be better if it was mainly people from the All-star game and maybe 1 or 2 really good dunkers that aren't in the game.

he refuses to do it, this won't change his mind
