Kobe Bryant responded to Mark Cubanís comments about the Lakers potentially amnestying Kobe by laying the smack down on the Mavericks and helping the Lakers pull to within one win of .500 but they are still 2.5 games back from a playoff spot with Dallas and Portland close behind them. Dirk had his best game of the season. Golden state got another big game out of Jarret Jack off the bench and managed to hold off the T-Wolves by a single point. LBJ lead the Heat past the Cavs. The Kings fell to the Hornets. Memphis managed to beat the Nets. The 76ers fell a little deeper in the hole as they lost to division rivals New York. The Spurs were without Tony Parker, but three guys came off the bench to score in double figures as the Spurs managed a win over the Suns. Paul Pierce had a nice all-around game, but it was not enough as the Celtics fell to the Trailbalzers. The Blazerís bench combined for a total of 11 points, matching the total of Bostonís highest scoring bench player of the game, but failing to exceed the total points of Portlandís lowest scoring starter. And the Bulls got embarrassed by the Thunder. There were a few guys who had some nice 20/10 games, but most were not included given that both Kobe and Dirk had 30/10, unless they also threw in some nice defensive stats.

Kobe. Rubio's 6 steals are nice, but Kobe was just a beast.
