Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban made waves when he hypothesized on the Los Angeles Lakers possibly considering amnestying Kobe Bryant. The Lakers said the comments were inappropriate, and after torching the Mavs to the tune of 38 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists in a 103-99 victory today, Kobe blasted Cuban on Twitter: “Amnesty THAT”.

But Dwight is the only one who cares what others think of him!

Good tweet though

sounds like a Tommy Boy comeback honestly. Take your $366,000 per game and forget about it Kobe.

I will admit I hate Kobe but I got a good chuckle out of this. Clearly he played with a purpose today, and that was to stick it to Cuban

Everyone knows amnestying kobe would be a terrible idea and cuban was trolling..it was beneath kobe to respond to cuban.

I kinda find it hard to blame Kobe for snapping back. He's a real competitor, and played with a sense of purpose today in a game the Lakers needed. In saying that, Cuban is notorious at stirring the pot...

The funniest thing: how people have no idea what Cuban was actually saying.

Oh I don't fault him or care, I just don't think he should even give a **** about the comment.

lol, I'm not exactly sure how that's "blasting" Cuban. He just said Amnesty THAT! I mean, probably a joke to counter Cuban's absurd comment earlier in the competitive game. If he really wanted to do something, he'd go Kenyon Martin on his ***. I think this whole ordeal was just random harmless jabs.

What Cuban said was very realistic and true. He didn't say Kobes game fell off. Thats a real business move that im sure the Lakers have to discuss....it might be a ten second discussion, but they need to weigh every option at this point.

Not "firing back." Cuban actually did some kind of an LOL rep back for that. There's so much mutual respect for those two.

Think Cubans timing added to this. He essentially said amnesty Kobe days after Buss died and everyone is questioning the FO Jim/Jeanie dynamic. He rocked the boat and spit on Kobe basically by even saying it when he's playing top 5 level, 17 years in and won all the titles and record he has. That and the fact he knew damn well Kobe makes what he gets paid back at least 3 fold by himself for the team and the team has a multi billion dollar TV deal, that he was one of the owners who tried so hard to get a big piece of, so it wasn't a hypothetical, it was a mind game and shot. Calculated most likely with the owner situation and LA fighting for the playoffs right in front if his team. Just didnt account for the fact the Lakers are 11-4 in the last 15, hot as can be, and he got a peak of the Kobe who once out scored his team thru three quarters and beat his chest while cussing him out for talking **** before that game too.

Had no problem watching bothy he Kobe and Nash dynamic as Nash played the hardest I seen all year too as it still irks him he wasn't worth being paid but Dampier was

true, he explained it during the la vs mav game.

No he covered his *** during it

If he's going to talk the tax and CBA he needs to bring up the TWC deal and what Kobe generates in revenue as he much like Jordan and Dan Gilbert were two owners that openly *****ed la wouldn't have to worry about the tax anymore, so they wanted big revenue sharing from them. and hes one of the admitted owners who filed a complaint to the nba office when the co3 deal happened

Perhaps if players on notoriously losing teams played with a little chip on their shoulders like Kobe does, there would be more than just cobwebs hanging in the rafters.

The same people are the first to bash Kobe when he plays bad, and first to talk garbage when he wins. He walks around not caring what people think of him, and it's pretty clear why. Because no matter what he does people are always going to hate him. He just takes it, uses it as fuel, and does what he does.

I know you're talking hate, but TWC asked him to create one and host a series on the network. Then nba tv asked him to tweet along with the 81 point game and they got the highest social media score they have had.

He always had a Facebook in which he kept quotes from the Lkaer games, Phil, or talked about team USA, but he was asked to tweet by Tme Warner

Mark Cuban always likes to get the spotlight when he can..problem is that you never want to motivate Kobe especially when it can cost your team. Just ask George Karl.

JR smith and Kenyon martin were challenging kobe and he torched them in the playoffs. He should know better being a. billionaire owner an all.

Most players and coaches don't bother the jibberish talk with Kobe.

Has anyone read the actual comments by Cuban and not just the ESPN headlines? Cuban said that if it was a purely business decision, he'll probably do it because it makes sense from a managerial perspective but in practice he'll never do it in the same way he'll never get rid of Dirk.
