that's a kick ball

It's a mix of both, but to me it does actually seem like he did mean to kick it (prob knew Novak was in the area and probably has some foot skills to even think to try it). It's a damn tricky/nice play if he meant it (once he accidentally fell over himself). The sensationalist "greatest pass ever?" question is just OP being himself. Kid's lost.

damn that pass from peja was nasty.

Shumperts was a kicked ball, but if he actually meant to kick it to Novak it's nice.

Nice but it loses a couple of points because it's more than likely an accident. Also I love Cwebb's commentary and that Peja pass was dope as ****.

That's incredible...I can't believe he was so accurate with that pass, coupled with the distance.

I say this with zero doubt, there is no one I would call less underrated than AI. He was beloved his entire career for everything he did, despite winning nothing. His size gave him a pass on the expectations like LeBron and Kobe. Instead, he is still called amazing despite his insufferable ego and inability to play with others IN A TEAM SPORT.

I would rather have 1/2 Kobe or LeBron than prime Iverson any day.

The most impressive part of that video is on the stat sheet Rajon Rondo got the assist. NBA just still slowly adding them in!

the one convo that rubio will never own, is the one when his fancy passing is compared to jason williams. rubio is so fun to watch, but j-will is always going to be at the top of the mountain

The Peja pass is the most impressive in this thread. Just insane. Love the Shumpert one too, but it seemed accidental to an extent.

that's a kick ball

There is no kick ball on offence. Only the defence can be called for a kick ball. If the offence wanted to, they are allowed to bring the ball up the court like a soccer player.

So then if a player stops his dribble, he can just put the ball down and move while soccer dribbling it...?

Googled the kick rule and found this:

Section V-Strike the Ball
a. A player shall not kick the ball or strike it with the fist.
b. Kicking the ball or striking it with any part of the leg is a violation when it is an intentional act. The ball accidentally striking the foot, the leg or fist is not a violation.
PENALTY:
(1) If the violation is by the offense, the ball is awarded to the opposing team at the sideline nearest the spot of the violation but no nearer to the base-line than the free throw line extended.
(2) If the violation is by the defense while the ball is in play, the offensive team retains possession of the ball at the sideline nearest the spot of the violation but no nearer the baseline than the foul line extended.
(3) If the violation occurs during a throw-in, the opposing team retains possession at the spot of the original throw-in with all privileges, if any, remaining.

So they let it go if it's accidental by the offense.

Hahaha where do you come up with this ****? In no world is this true. I can think of so many cases where it would be an advantage to be able to kick the ball instead of just use your hands. You think it's just a random anomaly that this has never happened in the history of the game? C'mon guy.
