per Howard Beck

RT @DarnellMayberry In a separate deal, the Thunder is likely to acquire guard Ronnie Brewer from New York as well.

It's for a 2nd round pick.

I liked Brewer even though Shumpert's return completely pushed him out of the rotation.

In a separate deal? What's the first deal?

Eric Maynor to Blazers

If that was the case then they need to get rid of a big

Awful trade for the knicks. They could have used him in the playoffs. Not to mention he was playing when they were winning earlier in the season. Oh well.

I hope this means the Knicks are signing someone soon.

they could have just cut white. instead they trade away an elite defender.

Haha awful trade, what a clown. It's a bench player for a second round pick. He was useful when he was playing well, then he regressed back to what Bulls fans said he was.

He was actually playing well at that point though, he hasn't contributed anything in months. Knicks can now go after some size to hold them over until sheed/camby can get healthy. Not too bad of a move, but nothing to help us too much either.

Also, James White's contract would still be on the books for next year if they cut him.

eh. still think he should be getting minutes. the knicks need defense right now. Melo stopped playing d, smith stopped playing D, shump is just not that good, kidd is to old and not playing good D, woodson just doesn't know how to use the talent he has. YOur team has been awful starting games recently yet he keeps going with that undersized lineup. Move kidd to the bench and play brewer 7 minutes to start the 1st and 3rd.

Wasn't Ronnie Brewer instrumental in the stellar defense the Knicks put up against the Heat? What were they thinking...They trade their best perimeter defender for a bag of cheerios, smh

Shump is good on D, he just isnt totally healthy yet, which in itself is more reason to keep Brewer around. But what you're saying here is that you would open the game with Felton/Shump/Brewer/Melo/Tyson. That is possibly the worst offensive lineup we could put out there.

Knicks wtf? Shump ain't right yet and there is nothing wrong with keeping a good perimeter defender when there are so few out there.

Nice for OKC, although he'll never really play considering he's behind Martin and Thabo

I wouldn't worry to much about offense. The knicks are losing right now because their defense is bad.

Unfair competitive advantage. A Segway would make Stat, Kidd, Wallace, Camby, and Thomas faster.

I laughed when certain Knicks fans created threads in the Bulls forum earlier in the year asking why the Bulls didn't pick up his exception (Which was nearly 5 times the amount the Knicks just traded him away for).

Now I hope you understand. :)
