Atlanta should have taken Brooks and Humph for Smith. At least you get a project in Brooks. Maybe then spin Humphries for Gerald Henderson.

This is a pretty good trade for the Bucks. All they gave up were spare parts

I wonder if Ellis gets benched.

Deron Lamb has some pretty good potential. I like the trade for both teams.

The Redick deal is part of a three-way trade with Charlotte. As @SpearsNBAYahoo reported, Hakim Warrick goes to Magic for Josh McRoberts.

As a Magic fan I dislike it a bit. Would rather have had pick(s)...

I actually like this for the Bucks. I was hoping the Nuggets would get in on Reddick because of his shooting.

I just don't understand what the Bucks are trying to do with this trade they already have a shooter coming of the bench in Dunleavy....

Nice deal for both teams, but by no means game-changing.

This. This. This. The Bucks have a fascination with spot up white shooters.

I don't see many minutes for Reddick, I do like him better than Ellis though. Harris is a tough piece to give up, could average 20 a game in a couple years with some consistent play. Seeing we got Ayon and Smith back it's not terrible. It's not like this trade makes us a threat to Miami in the first round.

Thats actually a good back court. Redick can play PG/SG

Well I didn't know having now a second white spot up shooter is considered a fascination. Guess they got a fascination for small black inefficient gaurds...Oh and a fascination for Turkey players too!

I'm cool with it.

Ayon hasn't been playing well, but he's SOO cheap.

:laugh2: what the hell.

He could be an okay backup, in the game where he had 32mins, he put up 16/11 and 6 assits. Great passer for a big man. I'm just mad our throw ins are becoming good players, ala Earl Clark.

Yeah everything i was reading said they only wanted Redick if Monta was being shipped out. Guess they got desperate enough for Redick.

I'm kinda mad/confused why we gave him away. Like I said, he's so damn cheap. There's no real reason NOT to keep him around as a backup PF.

Especially at this point, he was better than O'quinn. Only downside is that he is 27 already, maybe Henny going with a complete youth movement?

Also unsure of what the motive is behind a McBob- Warrick trade when we will just waive Warrick.

Yeah, the McBob/Warrick trade makes little sense. Whatever though.

This does make me happy

Many league executives impressed w/ young players that front office of Rob Hennigan, Scott Perry and Matt Lloyd have assembled in Orlando.

Their plan is for next year. Let Ellis walk, re-sign Redick.

I believe they expected to get J Smoove for Ellis so they pulled the JJ Redick deal. Guess it maybe backfired on them since Atlanta backed out but only time will tell. It could make them a better team.

I wish I know the rationale behind this trade...

Bucks-Hawks-Magic had a 3 way trade done, and pretty much agreed to. Bucks would have sent, Moute, Udoh, Udrih, 1st rd picks to Atlanta for Smith, but then Ferry pulled out at 1:59 PM CDT. 1 min right before the deadline. I'm guessing Hammond said **** it and decided to do the deal anyways.

Bucks insider said that the Bucks and Magic front offices were pissed at Ferry because they thought they had a deal done.

if this went down....the bucks would have been scary....redick is still a nice addition coming off the bench....

According to Gery Woefel, Bucks insider, the Bucks plan on going after Smith hard in the off-season. Partly because they want him, and the other reason is out of spite.

He said they all agreed on the trade and was going to fax in the trade to the league office, and Hawks called them right when they were about to do it and told them the trade was off. They tried to re-work it but the deadline was already over and didn't have time to put in an extension for the trade because it was already 2.
