..... with regards to stats.

They have had an advanced section for awhile now, but they have completely revamped their system to reflect a more modern approach.

I love the clutch category. Lebron is in the top 5 so please no more Lebron isn't clutch talk please. BTW this is coming from a guy that was calling Lebron "Le-Choke" 1 year ago but he truly has raised his game to a whole different level.

HOLY SMOKES they added PbP data from the 97 season onward.

Meaning you can now check out clutch scoring from MJ's era.

looks like nba.com finally got tired of everybody going to other sites for the superior stats and decided to throw their hat in the ring in a big way. historical graphs, detailed shot charts, every boxscore for 30 years, stats by game, per 36, per 48, per minute...lot of stuff to play with.

Kobe surrounded by a bunch of young bucks!

How is it a man 17 years in the league top 5 Scoring, top 5 Play-making, top 5 pts, top 10 efficiency.
Looks like Harden and Westbrook both already passing Wade up in most categories

they have been making advancements the past 1.5 years, and are finally putting forth a real site of stats, versus their old "efficiency" rating, which basically just added up points, rebounds, and assists, and labeled that as the most "efficient" player.

MJ shot an incredible 49% from midrange in 97 with BY FAR the most attempts in the league. Glen Rice shot 50% on half the attempts. 2nd best in terms of attempts was Mitch Richmond, he clocks in at 43.6%

Let there be no confusion why Antoine Walker decided to shoot so many 3's. It wasn't because there arent any 4's, but because he once led the league in attempts taken inside the paint, and shot a pathetic rate. He simply couldn't finish.

Another awesome part of this is the shot charts. You can see a player's hot/cold zones and how well they shoot from the left vs. right side of the court. For example, CP3 has only 1 cold zone- the above the break 3.

And as Chronz mentioned, we now have PBP data for MJ's days, which is awesome.
