Simple Yes or no?

No. It depends on who's hot at the end.

You mean today? In one regular season game?

It's not necessarily his to lose in the first place, but of course today isn't going to be a deciding factor this early.

No.

People bring this up before the AS break every time two MVP leaders play each other...and no one remembers it at the end of the season.

No one, not even LeBron after this run he's on, will win or lose this award in February.

Your thread title and poll question are conflicting.

Lose the lead that he probably has stolen back within the last week? Perhaps.

Lose the ward PERIOD. No way. Neither are winning or losing it tonight. The "lead" might shift temporarily.

Lol how can 1 game midseason decide who gets the MVP between 2 players who are at/near the top of their division?

If the Heat lose, you get banned, deal?

No, because it's one game and James already beat Durant the first time around...

No. It's just one regular season game and I'm pretty sure the Heat are already leading the season series. LeBron has broken multiple records this season and as much as I love KD LeBron is averaging his usually crazy numbers but on 57% shooting and is leading the best team in the NBA.

It's Durants to lose actually but the way he's performed today will sway some voters to vote for lebron

There's no way they're losing today anyways. Lebron is on another level from everyone else.

It's not even fair to say it's Durant's to lose. After this game, there is no way you can possibly say it's Durant's.

they should give it to Durant if OKC fnishes with a better record, cause they screwed Michael Jordan royally out of a few mvps (Barkley, Malone)

the Bulls had 69 wins in 1997, & Jordan was obvously the best player in the NBA. yea Malone was an absolute stud, but MJ should have had Malone & Barkley's mvps (taking nothng away from those 2 great PFs)

Lebron should have had at least one of Steve Nash's mvps

Lebron should have had at least one of Steve Nash's mvpsprobably, but Nash getting it in 2006 was ok. could have been LeBron or Wade that year, or even Dirk. in 2005 it should have been Shaquille O'Neal

As good as LeBron was in 2008, that was Wade's MVP.

Is this a serious Q?

The guy is a beast that hits 30 points a game on a regular basis. To deny Lebron a MVP award based on a single game is foolish.

By the way, the Heat won.

I guess we don't have to worry about who getting the MVP for the next three seasons now

I actually agree with this. Year before Miami was dead without him. wade comes back and they win almost 30 more games or so from the previous year. His stats were just insane as well.
