View Full Version : Player on your fav team that frustrate you the most

Which player on your favorite team frustrates you the most on a consistent basis whether it be because personal issues or on court antics: bad defense, bad offense, ball hogging, turnover prone etc.

The one that gets you pulling your hair or yelling at the tv screen.

I'll start off: Klay Thompson. The kid is a phenomal shooter dont get me wrong, but he has been very streaky shooting-wise all season especially as of late and makes silly silly turnovers during crucial moments of the game. Most valued possessions that the Warriors have are wasted by him taking ill adivsed shots or missing open jumpshots.

I think I know some of the common names that will be thrown around like D12 but I'd like to hear what other think/feel

Alan Anderson

1 in every 10 games his shot is on. It just so happens it was on last night. Those other 9 games it's like there's a lid on the bucket but he'll keep shooting because he's Micha......Alan Anderson.

Not sure.

Maybe Smith.
He is so talented but sometimes he can be shooting poorly and he'll chuck us out of games or make it hard to win.

I actually like him but he does frustrate me at times.
lol for once in many years my Knicks aren't such a frustrating team.

Brandon Knight is Way to inconsistent. If he goes off for 30 pts than that just means he will score in single digits for like the next two weeks and Hes becoming very turnover prone.

Joel Anthony and sometimes Chalmers. Joel can't catch a pass to save his life. All he has to do is catch, jump and dunk... but nooooooo he fumbles the ball then regains control then puts the ball down and tries to dunk and gets blocked or fumbles the ball again!!!

Jeremy Lin. Hes also my favorite player. He shows so many flashes of amazing play when he gets into a rhythm (even this year he had several really great performances) but so many games his lack of ego/unselfishness/lack of killer instinct just has him sitting in the corner and deferring to everyone instead of driving and looking for his shot, even when Harden is not on the floor.

By Far Jermey Lin. Hes easily intimidated , He doesnt know how to finish, no footwork at all, cant run an offense, horrible defender, to many turnovers, jump shot is terrible, and last but not least he cant create a shot for himslef. I knew the rockets would be dumb enough to get this guy, but it wasnt a basketball move it was a business move.

This feels like an overreaction. I think at some point in the future he will be a huge asset to Houston, he's really young. I agree he's frustrating, but if you've watched all the games you can't deny he has ability, he just is way too timid. Hes young meh

Yeah youd think at his age and with all hes accomplished he'd lose the chip on his shoulder and have more maturity and just play the game as well as he can, which is obviously really really well.

For the Suns, while Beasley would be the most common answer, I'd say Gortat. Some games he looks like an elite center. He started the first couple weeks of the season off as the NBA blocks leader.
Then other days he hardly ever has his presence felt

By far Tony Allen he is pretty much the BEST defender in the NBA(1 on 1 and team defense) but he is like Joel Anthony on offense and that's not good news for a SG.

EVAN ****ING TURNER.

the guy goes on streaks where he averages 20, 8, 5,

then he'll go on streaks like the one he's currently on and get 5, 5, 4 on terrible percentages.

the guy just can't remain consistent. he'll tease you with some great games, only to disappear for the next few.

It's a shame because when he plays to his potential, he's a great fit next to Jrue. But recently we've needed him to score for us, and he just hasn't been able to deliver.

He'd be much better on a team where he's the primary ballhandler.

it's no wonder the Sixers are currently shopping him... he's better off elsewhere as much as it pains me to say, because there's no denying the kids got talent. He just doesn't fit in Philly.

Mario Chalmers--Miami Heat.

The man has skills, but he is the most inconsistent player in the league. And he's cocky as hell! He'll hit ten 3's in Sacramento, and then score 12 points combined in the next 4 games.

CJ Miles, Tyler Zeller, and Luke Walton. 9 out of 10 games CJ coulnt make a shot even if the hoop was the size of the atlantic ocean. Does that stop him from chucking the ball every time he touches it? Nope. Zeller is decent offensively but literally every center and powerforward above 180lbs has made Zeller their personal B**** at some point this year. Walton just blows. Period. Still dont know why he gets minutes. Hes terrible.

#1 - Andrea Bargnani......1st overall pick, doesnt know how to play defence, he cant seem to score anymore, and looks like he doesnt even try anymore.

#2 - Alan Anderson - Seems like a great guy, like his story bout gettin back to the NBA......but no he tries to do everything himself now instead of sticking with what his role was lastyear

Norris Cole. The guy plays hero ball a lot, makes dumb decisions, makes a lot of turnovers, refuses to pass the ball when needed. He is -73 for the Heat when he is on the floor.
In particular I don't like the lineup of Cole and Ray Allen, Miamis defense is completely on vacation in Thailand during those minutes, even though Cole is good at defense, but team defense struggles.

And I don't understand Heat fans who say Chalmers. He is a great team player and fits Miami very well, I would take him over Brandon Jennings for example. He is also 2nd to LeBron in +/- for Heat with +364, that means he really compliments the team and the team plays great when he is on the floor.

Giraffes Rule
02-14-2013, 03:19 PM
Gary Neal. That's more of a frustration of him being the backup point guard though, when his playmaking and ball handling are both just awful. I've screamed at my TV so many times when he and Nando De Colo are on the floor together and Neal ends up running the offense instead of the guy whose only real skill is passing.

aLau10
02-14-2013, 04:01 PM
any particular reason why?

If you watch him play, when ever he gets the ball on a fast break, he will just keep his head down (and I mean DOWN) and just run at the basket for a layup. Don't expect him to pass it off or anything!

But for me personally, Bargnani for sure.... he is just the worst. Don't get me started....

And maybe a bit of Kyle Lowry.
Don't get me wrong I love the dude, hits big shots at time to bring the momentum back. However, at times he tends to get too into it and continue to shoot from long, and make silly turnovers when its a tight game...
The recent game against the Celtics is an example...
