Atlanta trades Josh Smith ($13 million, 1 year) and Lou Williams ($5 million, 3 years) to Brooklyn for Kris Humphries ($12 million, 2 years), MarShawn Brooks ($1.2 million, 3 years) and Andray Blatche ($854,000, 1 year).
Brooklyn, one of the few teams where Smith is likely to resign, gets its target and creates possibly the best shot-blocking front court in NBA history (Smith, Brook Lopez and Gerald Wallace collectively average five blocks per game, even with Wallace falling off). Smith can play with Joe Johnson again. Williams is an upgrade from Brooks who can also play some point guard backing up Deron Williams.
Atlanta gets a double-double machine in Humphries, while Andray Blatche provides insurance and might end up being the more valuable part of the deal. Brooks and Anthony Morrow can battle it out for time at shooting guard.

Atlanta gets raped

Atlanta is going to get raped even harder if they can't max Smith and he just leaves.

True, but I'm sure they could find a better package than a problematic Blatche, inconsistent/not-yet-proven Brooks, and a big salary in Humphries...

ATlanta won't do that
