They really are, had Fields been on any other team that ring would be MUCH smaller...lol

But I like Fields, good guy... was one of my fav knicks but he could never return to his rookie form. As Woodson said when he left "Nice kid...can't play".

People hate on Fields, but he plays hard every game, and usually has a positive impact when he's on the court.

Is he overpaid? yes, but so is 90% of the league.

Congrats to him, and Elaine.

homie he's shooting 11% from 3pt. I'll say he helps in rebounding but you can't be serious can you?

He has only taken 9 this season. He knows his role, he brings energy, defends well, rebounds well, passes the ball well, and is great at cutting to the basket. As long as he sticks to what he is good at, he brings a positive impact when he is on the floor.

People look too much into stats and disregard all the positives. It is natural as humans to find negatives and it blinds themselves from the positives. FG% seems to be the only stat people use as an argument.

The last game against the Nuggets was a great example. Rudy got into foul trouble, Nuggets started to gain momentum, then Fields came in, brought energy and gave the Raptors back there momentum.

He's not a great player, but he is not as bad as people make him out to be.

FG% is a big stat. It's a reason people like Jefferies and Reggie Evans aren't consider stars.

Don't know what happened to his shot, his rookie year he took 221 three's and hit 39% of them and shot 50% from the field and 77% at the line.

I agree.

Yes, he's overpaid, but he's not the scrub that many posters on PSD try to claim he is. He's a nice piece to have off of the bench who you can throw on the opposing team's best perimeter player.

Are you even serious with that post? :laugh2:

Not every player is good at everything. Evans & Jeffries are specialists, just like Fields.

Fields isn't getting paid like a star, he is getting 6.25 mill per season, that is far from star numbers. We don't need him to score, we have plenty of scorers, we just need him to do the things he does well.

He had some nerve damage in his elbow, which was affecting his shooting hand.

I don't think that is the full issue, I think his mechanics need to be changed, and hopefully that is something he will work on in the offseason. Our training staff worked with Ed Davis during the summer and completely rebuilt his shot, and he is now hitting it consistently. Hopefully they can do the same with Landry.

laughable? You paid him like a starting SF/SG or a 6th man. Everyone knows it was to block Nash to NY. Thank you BTW...wait... Felton or Nash? anyway Yes I know there are specialists in the league, but 5/5/8 is not what you pay for them.

Its not 5/5/8.

It is 6.25 per season, like I have already mentioned.

It would have been 5/5/8 only if NY matched the offer. I thought people knew this by now.

And isn't NY paying Amare 20 mill to come off the bench? :laugh2:

Shaking my head at some of these replies. Landry Fields probably doesn't have game. Very few men do. You know what Landry Fields has?

Making millions - Check
High-Status Job - Check

That's how he got this chick. Pure and simple. He's foolish, though. When you're a high-paid athlete in your early twenties, why would you bother getting married? You're only young once. Might as well enjoy it to the fullest and wait til after your career is done to marry.

Lets face it...Toronto gave Fields a 20+ mil contract because they wanted to block the Knicks from getting Nash..They knew and everyone knew that if Nash had to Pick NY or Toronto it was NY all the way..

Toronto got pissed and screwed the Knicks over by Signing Fields to that STUPID offer sheet, locking up the only other tangible asset that the Knicks could include in the Nash deal to make the money and player swap work.

By taking Fields off the table the Knicks werent allowed to include him in any such deal, that said in the end...

- Knicks won because they dont have to pay this clown 20+ mil
- Fields won because he got a awesome contract and can afford to pay for his expensive new supermodel wife

-Toronto lost as usual having to pay this chief 20+mil for putting up career lows of 5points and 4.8 boards a night.

I guess the only win is that they'll have this bomshell sitting in the front row at the games - may be able to distract the opposing team on the foul line

I said the same thing but you Knick fans all went crazy on me and called me a troll. Kid cant play at all.

You're trying to twist things here.

First half of his rookie season, he did things which were SPECIAL. He only averages very low numbers but the things he did were just awesome. Then hit to rookie wall...well, that's what everyone thought. Then last season....and then this season....

He was good at the start.

Man no offense. But what else is left, can you really upgrade a chick like that? Think after a long week, you pound this whenever you want.

No srsly think, can you really upgrade her. Some of us might want a week w/ a hoodrat, but land a model chick w/ personality and humor and is most likely a dork! Can you really upgrade that?
