I personally am saddened by this, but I say it all the time, sports is a business to be sold like insurance or bundled mortage bonds. The competion aspect of it doesn't exist in a vacuum, money is a bigger factor than we like to acknowledge.

As long as they don't turn into NASCAR uniforms, it's fine with me. I do wonder why the NBA is appearing so needy in this scenario. Is the league losing money?

I doubt theyre losing money, they just want MORE money. Money is heartless it doesn't have feelings just like David Stern.

Probably. But David Earlobes Stern is going to take advantage of any opportunity to add some to his paycheck, regardless of how the fans are effected by it.

David Stern kept even the manufacturer's name off the uniform throughout his tenure, and is stepping down next February. Is he also to blame for 9/11?

I really don't think the fans are gonna hate it as much as we think we will now.

I have often questioned the effectiveness of this, but I suppose exposure is exposure. And OF COURSE they need more money, how else are they going to be able to support/fund this NBA Europe Stern keeps blathering about?

Its unavoidable.
And you get used to it.

And it will probably save the *** of teams like Bucks or grizzlies from having to relocate.

This only happening because the league is losing money when only 8 teams are bringing back a profit thats not good for the league
