16th Player in NBA history to do so!

Alex Kennedy ‏@AlexKennedyNBA
Kevin Garnett is the 16th player in NBA history to 25K points. He joins Kobe Bryant and Moses Malone as only HS-to-NBA players in 25K club.

Sean Grande ‏@SeanGrandePBP
With his 25,000 points, 10,000 boards, 5,000 assists 1,500 blocks and steals, Kevin Garnett joins...no one. He’s all alone.

Amazing to think his biggest impact is on defense.

+ 1... This has like nothing to do with Lebron.

one of the most complete big men in history. I think he is a douche, but will always cherish his Minnesota days. He will end up top 20 in points, rebounds, blocks. And his passing has always been exceptional. And as mentioned, maybe the best defender of his generation for a PF.

Amazing feat. Congrats to KG.

KG also sacrificed a ton of scoring/shots to chase a title when he was traded her back in 07'.

Nice try though.

Thats just stupid. He is a top 15 player ever for me personally, and while I have been critical of his antics, and late game play in a Wolves uniform, he simply is the best player my franchise ever employed, and was a joy to watch. Just wish he didn't end up such a douche haha.

He's not necessarily a dynamic scorer...and this isn't exactly an unimpressive feat. Only 20 people have ever done this. I think it's pretty impressive he got there considering what his game style was.

Props to KG. Such a stud.

Well, that's cool.

But why is it necessary to force your LeBron-loving into this thread? Just say "congrats KD", and move along ;)

And it's possible Durant does it quicker than Lebron who cares? Should that make Lebrons accomplishment less significant? (if either get to that mark, injuries can happen and other unforeseen events)

This is about Garnett, not Lebron

People might hate on LeBron because fans like you pop into every thread to praise him.

Hell, I love LeBron as much as any non-Heat fan probably could...but yeah...

Lebron can't anchor a defense like KG can..

KG is probably the most well rounded PF ever...
It's amazing that he's in the top 15? 16? In scoring when his biggest impact wasn't on that end of the ball.. That's what's amazing.. give a congratz and move the **** on.

Anyone hear Marv Albert interview him after the game? Albert game off like a dbag asking questions like "how surprising is it you past 25K points being known more as a defender. Like has everyone forgot KG was a 20 and 10 guy for 9 consecutive seasons and more like 23 and 12. He sacrificed a lot on offense to go chase a title.

People forget that he flat out changed the game. Ever player 6'10" or taller wanted to play like him. I attribute the death of the true center/post player to him directly. Bigs tried to model their game after him, he changed a generation of basketball.

i know this wasn't you that came up with this so this is directed at the writer

no disrespect but that grouping of stats is so irrelevant and random it really doesn't matter that he did it...

yes, he accumulated alot of metrics in a lot of categories... none close to the all time best in a category...

People are so consumed by measuring a players relevance with stats that is goes to absurd levels...

How about this... Anyone who has watched KG knows he is in the top 5 at his position all time

Do we really need to make up a stupid grouping of stats to prove it?

so yeah, congrats on hitting a milestone KG in spite of it being irrelevant to your relevance of the game of basketball
