This one is fully dependent on whether Clips can or can not re-sign Paul.

If they could, this rapes them!
If they can't OTOH, then this would make sense.

As long as Paul re-signs with them - this is obvious for Houston. Mid-calibre pick, overpriced 2nd-tier PG and two role players for a superstar? DO!!!

For Utah - getting players as good and promising as Bledsoe & Patterson for Big Al's expiring is also good.

So it is about Clippers and whether they can keep CP3 or whether he bolts to other pastures for next year...

No way the Clippers trade both CP3 and Bledsoe for Lin. If Houston wants CP3 they will have to give them Harden.

Yeah, this is one of the weirder trade proposals I've seen. Just about no chance at all the Clippers move CP3, and if they did they wouldn't also move Bledsoe just to take back Lin (who's probably no better than Bledsoe) and have Big Al push Jordan to the bench. They're contenders, after years of being the Clippers - they aren't doing anything, and if they did it wouldn't be this bad for them.
Unbelievably great deal for the Rockets, though, so I have to assume that was the starting point/motivation of the whole proposal.
