View Full Version : Kyrie Irving is the most clutch player in the NBA

That's like the 7th time this year he has single handedly won the game in the final minute.

He can shoot off the dribble effortlessly, no one can stay in front of him 1 on 1, he can take anyone to the hoop, and is down right dirty.

There isn't any other player that I would want to iso at the end of the game right now.

Kid is a stud.

I'd like KD, LeBron and Melo more late in a game because, you know, they're better players.

True, but Kyrie is right there with them when it comes to closing out a game.

And as an overall player, I'd take Kyrie over Melo in a heartbeat (last second shot is another debate however).

I hate that Cleveland games are blacked out on League Pass for me. Kyrie is fun to watch, I love his game.

Kyrie Irving is going to be amazing. Let the guy grow and develop. Melo has been a top 4 MVP candidate this season. Swap Melo and Kyrie and the Knicks become a lot worse.

I don't know about that,

I've seen Kevin Durant hit countless game winners, game tiers and buzzer beaters on my mavericks over the past couple of years.

what he did tonight was pretty awesome though.

Kyrie is already better now than Rose ever was, and will be.Kyrie will go on to have a long, long illustrious career bcuz he is actually a smart and skilled player, while Rose a fizzle out in his early 30's being how he gets by on pure athleticism...he's the next AI, but even worse since he cant even get himself to the line...sad.

If we go by the numbers, Melo is the most clutch player.

Career Game-Tying & Go-Ahead Shot Attempts With Under 0:24 in 4th QTR/OT

Kevin Durant: 28.8 FG%
Carmelo Anthony: 47.2 FG%
Kobe Bryant: 29.4 FG%
LeBron James: 34.0 FG%

Check out kyries numbers late in games his first two season in the league. He is the best crunch player in the nba the past 2 seasons

When the game is on the line I'd take kyrie over everybody. Including 2 of my favorites melo and KD

Players I've never doubted: James Harden + Kyrie Irving

 at people ragging on Kyrie for the Cav's record. First of all he hasn't even been healthy all season and second, he just beat Westbrook/Kmart/Durant/Ibaka last night getting 4-13 nights from Tristan Thompson and Dion Waiters and with Tyler Zeller and Alonzo Gee starting. Be serious.

Give them a legit big to work the post and this team will take off. Sign me up for Kyrie as the #2 PG in the league.

Never mind, I found it. The Career marks still makes it iffy. Like how Durant was an extremely poor closer until like his 4th season. While Melo's game tying/ go ahead gamewinners %, have taken a fall in recent years.
