After a reassuring win over the Thunder, Iím sure many Lakers fans though the Lakers were back on track, but alas, though Kobe was still in playmaker mode, the Lakers were unable to overcome the lowly Suns who improved to 3-2 under new coach Lindsey Hunter. Not a single Lakers player managed a double-double and the teamsí leadings scorer (Kobe obviously) only scored 17 points! Vasquez continues to be a bright spot for the Hornets, but despite another double-double from their star PG the Hornets still fell to the Jazz. The Bobcats got demolished by the Spurs. Doug Collins got a win over his former team, the Washington Wizards, as the 76ers continue to try and dig themselves out of the hole they dug themselves into. The Magic lost big man Glen Davis to injury early in the game as they fell to the Knicks. The Clippers beat the T-Wolves who have lost 5 straight. The Bulls beat the Bucks despite playing with out Boozer as Nate Robinson came off the bench to score a game-high 24 points. The short-handed Pistons fell to the Pacers. The Nuggets extended their winning streak to five games with a win over the Rockets. After Reggie Evans bad mouthed LBJ stating that he was no different than Andre Blatche and Joe Johnson, LBJ stepped onto the court to out score and out rebound both players, while also handing out more assists and getting more steals than ether of Evansí teammates as the Heat rolled their way to a blow-out win over the Nets. The Celtics handily beat the Kings, though their bench got a little thinner when Sullinger went down after only four minutes of play. And finally the Raptors, with an extremely thin bench as they await the arrival of the newly acquired Rudy Gay lost by the narrowest of margins to the Atlanta Hawks. Lowry started in place of the recently departed Jose Calderon and responded with a nice double-double. Josh Smith posted a 5X3 (not as impressive as a 5X5, but still, great all around game).
