kyrie irving scares me

why? his stats look good, but he isnt winning games....his team will win less than 25 games in the east. There are so many bad teams in the east- there are probably jr high girls teams that could pick up 25 wins in the east.

if kyrie irving and his clevland cavs scare you- you dont belong in the nba. I promise you.... there will be something worth being scared of on the other side of the floor when we are in the playoffs.

Kyrie Irving is averaging 24 points a game at the point guard and has made the all star team, despite being on Cleveland.

Btw, Macshock- why is Bogut in the starting lineup? He already said that he certainly wouldn't be doing back to backs until the all star

who cares if hes in the all star game? magic johnson was in the all star game the yr after he retired and wasnt winning any games all season. Stats dont matter unless they help your team win games. Obviously teams are letting irving get his points and just winning the game. Individual stats are cool for fantasy league.... but a teams game plan is to win the game and not worry about certain players getting x amount of points. perhaps if clev wasnt so focused on irvings scoring points... theyd win a decent amount of games?

No prob with it cause the one team reps the bay it's not like with 9ers and raiders how two teams rep each side. It's one team. I'd have no prob with fans from sf celebrating a warrior championship if won in Oakland.

how can you not be confident against this team??? cleveland sucks... we are probably better at every position... irving is a good player, but is streaky... he isn't a great defender either... frankly i think that irving would have a better chance playing against curry, but i doubt curry will be playing today. Jack is way stronger and smarter. Alonzo Gee is probably their wildcard... if he is hitting his outside shots, then we will have a long night.

Easy win.

This would be the best time for them to rest up any ways. Curry will probably be back for the Mavs game on thursday, and you know Bogut will be back for that game too. If Barnes continued to play last night after the fall, then they're probably just being cautious. Thompson has been playing great this game, and it gave good minutes for Bazemore to showcase a little bit.

You guys gotta remember. This isn't exactly what it seems. Yes we did beat Cleveland on the road with 4 guys missing. But you have to also consider this... First, Cavs are a horrible team. 2nd of all Kyrie was sick as heck. He could barely even talk in the morning and felt like crap. So he wasn't himself. Lasty, they did not Anderson Verajo, which would have made a huge difference. So it's impressive that we won, but don't act like it's a miracle that we beat a bottom feeder minus their center and a very sick superstar. Don't underestimate the flu.

well he played on it for another couple minutes, and yesterday when it happened he was more concerned with his calf. This leads me to believe its not a torn acl or mcl situation. he got up in a few seconds and was walking around on it... shouldnt be a brandon rush situation or anything cuz there was no way rush was gonna be running up and down the court right after he went down.

I wouldn't be so confident its not an acl problem considering what just happened with Rondo. But I hope and think he'll be back soon, I'm starting to think the league needs to do something about fouling a soaring player or falcon.

Great win though, depth depth depth, since when did the warriors have such good depth? normally we would've been dipping into d-league.

Only when people bring up Monta, which is a very common occurrence in this forum. I actually like Monta personally and I have fond memories of the we believe team with him on it. However, I do have a problem when people talk him up like he does not suck at basketball.

It's clear when ever Ellis gets brought up, you get very defensive over him. And honestly, it looks ridiculous.

But Guppy you are not fully correct. When it comes to effective team winning basketball, I can see how Monta is a detriment. But you can't just flat out say that Monta has no game and that he can't get his own. He gets his own. Or at least he used to when he was with us. You can't say Monta wasn't dynamic. You can't say that he didn't have any talent either.

Then it comes down to opinions and semantics.

This is pretty reasonable, especially coming from you.

Monta could have been good. He was, in 07-08. The moped ruined him or a bad environment. Either way, he isn't the same player that used to be the most efficient two guard in basketball.

Well, I don't know if the moped really ruined him. Because the year after that he was averaging 25 points a game and it was a magnificent show to watch if you are into awing individual players.

But Monta does not look good out there this year. He looks pretty bad in my opinion. His shot looks very very flat. He does look like he has lost some speed, and even Rick Bucher said so. I personally don't think Monta trains hard in the offseason anymore, but I could be wrong. I think he just relies on his natural abilities.

Monta was the best when we had Davis. Other people are fooled and think scoring 25 a game is better than 20 a game at 53 percent. This means that Monta might be better as a 3rd option, someone that just comes in and plays off of great point guards.

....or it could be the fact that his rookie contract was expiring....

I thought it was a funny comment because it was in regards to his sharp decline and how a lot of players just play for their contracts.

Guppy....lol. I can understand that it was his best year efficiently speaking. Totally a valid point. But to completely disregard the fact that he was in a contract year as a valid explanation is just beyond belief.

We could have had KG in 08. He didn't do the deal because it was too expensive. Baron Davis and KG. **** Cohan, man.

Cohan is the worst.

dont get me wrong, cohan is an idiot.... but Id argue that kevin mchale had more to do with us not getting garnett than cohan "not willing to pay"- btw- kg would have been traded anyway to us. (if we were to get him)

Lol..most cats want to make the NBA to get paid ... n you talkin bout contracts ... if you were a second round pick and you're rookie contract was expiring you would play well too to get another contract.

He didn't want to take on KG's contract. Same reason why he voided the Baron Davis deal worth five years (hindsight, that was a good move, but definitely not because he thought it would help the team.)

I just thought what you said was funny because it's true that he was in his contract year and I didn't think about that.

I think you are trolling me now though

Well anyways, I guess it would be slightly incorrect to say that he is better as a third option given the fact that he was in a contract year

Well anyways, I guess it would be slightly incorrect to say that he is better as a third option given the fact that he was in a contract year I bet he would be less ****** at offense right now if he took like eight shots a game instead of what he has now. Defense would still be a huge problem though, likely will never be fixed. Off sets any kind of worth he has on the court.

It was not good at having Monta at defense. Because he would make the backcourt have to work harder.
