He's an absolute beast and looks like he could be similar to Joey Votto. Now acquiring him is an absolute pipedream. They do have a first baseman that looks to be better than Rizzo, Dan Vogelbach he flat out rakes and with no dh they have 2 1b's in 2014 when Vogelbach is ready. The Sox would probably have to give up pitching prospects to make it happen but fun to think about him in our lineup for 10 plus years but unlikely Theo trades this kid away.

Do you think he knows that we already had Rizzo and then Theo traded him away?

He is probably the least tradable Cub right now

not happening.

We need to find a way to fleece a team out of their OF with 30HR+, and their power hitting 1B prospect for Bailey.

Dude, do you actually follow this team or are you just trying to troll.

We have him. Theo traded him away as part of the A-Gon deal, then when he went to the Cubs he traded for him. There is no way in hell we would be able to get him unless we said heres our top five prospects, enjoy!

If it was even possible, I'd love to re-acquire Rizzo. Still can't believe the Cubs got him for just Cashner, we should've jumped on that regardless of A-Gon being here.

This.

Also, I'm pretty sure Rizzo is Theo and Hoyer's lovechild, seeing as how they are the only GM's that he's ever played for :laugh2:

Being lazy is a much better alternative. However, that would be incredible.

Your ***** creek beavers sig was the GOAT.

We would've won if we got to keep that name. The name change made us lose all momentum.

Yeah ik that we had rizzo already. But have u heard of vogelbach kids gonna be a beast. Give up a catching prospect (Swihart, Lavarnway) and a bunch of pitching prospects. And if u read it correctly i did say pipedream i know it would never happen.

Love Vogelbach, but I think the Cubs would be best off waiting until he's in AA to trade him because by then he could have more value. He may end up a DH but the guy is a complete hitter.

I certainly don't, atleast not right now. You are comparing a guy in Low-A to one who has had success at the upper levels of the minors and in the MLB. We'll see.

Nope, but I do love both. I think it's unfair to say Vogelbach projects to be better. Vogelbach walks more and has more power, but Rizzo is more proven and is an above average defender. I think Vogelbach will be below average in the field. Still he's very far away which is why i would be surprised to see him traded.

I'm a Cubs fan. I don't see Vogelbach moving right now unless it's in a package for a top tier talent. He's very projectable and the scouts seem to love his bat. If he moves, I don't think it'll be a prospect-prospect type deal.

Vogelbach has nice power but he's fat and terrible defensively. Teams don't acquire players like that until they're proven at the Major League level. In order for him to be worth anything he's going to have to be a top 20 hitter in baseball - and that's a tall order.

In his defense he's keeping conditioning as a priority and I heard not so terrible things about his defense this year. Still see him as a DH in terms of his best place though.
