GUYS! GUYS GUYS! Please listen and follow this. have you noticed how the lakers are playing much better without pau gasol? They are running the offense through dwight howard and kobe bryant and it is working amazingly!!!!!!! 2 straight wins, but most importantly, 2 dominant and effective straight wins. the lakers look amazing when its just howard on the floor without pau gasol and they should come to realize that.
having the stretch power forward on this team has really made this team flourish. antawn jamison, earl clark, and metta world peace are dominating because they get the opportunity to stretch the floor at the 4 spot and dwight has the paint all to himself.

The lakers need to come to realize that pau gasol isn't a fit anymore and they need to get rid of him ASAP!

trade him right now!!!! Get a stretch power forward, andrea bargnani would even do and add jose calderon's expiring contract and you've got yourself a deal. The lakers must move gasol now or else the lakers season will fail.

just watch what happens when gasol returns, the lakers are gonna go back down on the decline and become even worse. they are clicking right now and they must trade pau gasol.

what are your thoughts? What is a good package for pau gasol?
I like toronto, minnesota? possibly new orleans if they want to get rid of ryan anderson. We will see though but lakers better trade gasol!!!

guys im not on speed bro. you guys just dont understand. the lakers played amazing against the bucks and against the cavs. look at the way they played! yall are ******** if you think that gasol and howard will fit together or if howard should be the one getting traded. look at this, the lakers need role players right now. they don't need 4 superstars and nothing else, they need role players, and pau gasol can give them those role players. lets look at the magic. they are offering jj reddick in a trade but hedo turkoglu and glen davis have to be included. lets look at the possibility for the lakers to trade with the magic, once again. lets say the magic offered pau gasol, steve blake, and devin ebanks for hedo turkoglu, glen davis, and jj reddick.

that would be amazing for the magic! they get a ball handling/stretch 4 in hedo turkoglu, get a young big man who can man the middle and work with dwight howard down low, it worked for the magic last year with davis and howard down low. and they get an amazing 3 point shooter that they need to get the team going from long range.
dwight howard would thrive with getting some familiar faces around him, I know this sounds stupid and getting familiar players around him seems like it wouldn't work because thats the main reason why he left the magic because those familiar players weren't working with him, but if u put him with a mix of the magic players and others like kobe and nash, than you can get something going.
Just look at how he and Earl Clark have been clicking. they played together in orlando, not many minutes together, but they know each other well, and look at duhon as well.

lineup:

dwight howard
glen davis
metta world peace
kobe bryant
steve nash
jj reddick
hedo turkoglu
jodie meeks
earl clark
chris duhon
antawn jamison
darius morris
jordan hill (out for the season)
robert sacre

that is a much better team than the team with gasol.

They've shown flashes before that they can dominate the game with gasol and without but it's there inconsistency where the problem is, especially against good teams.

Anybody who would trade a HOF player based on a 2-game sample size doesn't deserve to be a GM in the NBA. And the wins were against teams who were in the lottery last year, one of whom is missing their best rebounder.

I'm not saying that trading Gasol wouldn't be a good idea if they got the right pieces back, but trading him based on wins over the Cavs and the Bucks? I don't think so.

The Lakers probably should trade him for younger talent the best bet would be the Hornets. If they could get any 2 of Vasquez, Rivers, Anderson or Henry. The Lakers need to build a bench and they can plug anyone in at the 4 and succeed

If you're going to be mean to somebody, at least spell Ritalin correctly.

I think Gasol's time is up with the Lakers, all though I can't see a lot of teams wanting to add that high salary when Gasol's is on the decline.

any other team than the lakers and id completely agree. The lakers can somehow pull off any trade for any player they want. this team found a way to land dwight howard and steve nash in the same off season. this team found a way to trade kwame brown and garbage for pau gasol (some of that garbage by pure luck turned into marc gasol)

somehow the lakers can get quality players without giving up a whole lot.

the lakers are not going to trade pau this season they will trade him in the off season or before the deadline next year as a mega expiring contract

lakers fans are just being cry babies

makes no sense from New Orleans point of view. you dont get rid of productive players on great deals like anderson and Grevis for Gasol. i hope NO laughs in their faces

Wooooow OP.... what a fantastic observation given that HUGE sample size of 2 games you've provided.

/sarcasm

Pau doesn't exactly fit the D'Antoni system, sure, but where will he go? He's starting to show signs of fragility, he's past his prime, and he's got a bloated contract. Thing is, if you're stuck with a guy who's had a decent career so far, you work with him to retool their game to keep them relevant. If it doesn't work out by the end of the season, then you can try to market him off elsewhere.

I agree Pau needs to be traded tho.. Lakers do look slightly better without him, championship worthy? no, not really.. But they do look better.. He will be traded in the next few weeks or in the off season.

Los Angeles gets: Amare Stoudemire ($19.9 million, 3 years), Joakim Noah ($11.3 million, 4 years), Richard Hamilton ($5 million, 2 years) and Taj Gibson ($2.2 million, 5 years)
Chicago gets: Dwight Howard ($19.5 million, 1 year) and Jodie Meeks ($1.5 million, 2 years)
New York gets: Pau Gasol ($19 million, 2 years) and Kirk Hinrich ($3.9 million, 2 years).

Obviously Los Angeles takes on Stoudemire's contract with no guarantee he'll come back and be dominant, but it's still losing one of its $19 million contracts, and we all know how nice a fit Stoudemire is with Steve Nash and Mike D'Antoni. Noah is a nice replacement for Howard, and Taj Gibson can easily be the starting power forward for the Lakers or the sixth man. More importantly, the Lakers add a solid, youthful front court for the future rebuild.
Chicago shouldn't have to worry about Howard sticking around, especially with Derrick Rose back late this season or early next season. It has to depend on Boozer, which is a significant risk - but then again, Chicago was already gullible enough to sign him. Meeks simply gives Chicago depth after it gives up two shooting guards.
New York gets a talented power forward in Gasol, who's not much older than Stoudemire. In the process, New York isn't losing any scoring, rebounding or defense, while picking up a power forward who's currently healthier than the one they have.
