i think its pretty safe to say he finishes at least number #3, and most likely number three... his days in LA might seriously cut his assist #s sadly

I was paying more attention to the Rockets 5th straight win and Hardens 13th straight game with 25+ points (ties an franchise record)

You're still the Rockets..

Way to be rude about Nash accomplishing something that nobody in your franchise has ever done.

Hakeem is out of the league. Get over it.

Nash is overrated, people faulted LeBron for having individual success and no ring but never mentioned Nash.

Because he wasn't, "THE CHOSEN ONE."

You're right, he was never mentioned, which is why it's incredible that he's accomplished what he's accomplished in his career. He had one scholarship for college, which is even crazier.. 2X MVP, 10,000 Club.

Not overrated. He was never given the expectations that Lebron was given. Not sure why you're even comparing the two.

What's even funnier, is that you spoke about INDIVIDUAL SUCCESS... So, he got this award... WHICH IS AN AWARD FOR LETTING 'OTHERS' SCORE. That's a team-based award. Weird.

Jason Kidd's numbers are amazing. I'm not a fan of the guy because of his off court behaviour, but I have a lot of respect for what he does on the court. But considering he is playing to the age he has, and that he got starting minutes when he first came into the league, that just makes Stockton's numbers all the more impressive as he had to wait a couple of seasons before he got into the starting line-up.

The thing with PGs is, today's PGs are often times better scorers than they are play makers, and after guys like Jordan and Pippen opened up the door for wing players to run plays, and when guys like Barkley and later C-Webb (as well as Duncan and Garnett and Anthony Mason as well), it just becomes more common for coaches to run plays through passing bigs, and the influx of European bigs that can do that, it just takes the ball out of the PGs hands more and more, so it becomes less likely for a PG to put up those kind of numbers.

The thing is, Johnson would have put up a crazy number of assists had he not retired so young... he would certainly be number 2 on the list behind Stockton.

My question to you is this: What is more impressive: 30 000 points, or 10 000 assists. And for those of you who go with 30 000 points, I ask, is 30 000 more impressive than 15 000 assists?

I spoke on a Rockets achievement, I'm a Rockets fan. Meaning throughout the game wasn't concern with nothing the opposing team or player had going on but losing!

I say that reaching 30,000 carreer points or 10,000 career assists is about equal difficult but scoring, it's under your own control. In both cases only 5 guys have achieved it yet. For the scoring one, this is going to change soon since LeBron and Durant are on their way too, if they don't get seriously injured in their careers. Nowitzki could have had a chance at some point but he already missed too many games, is too old and will probably be scoring too less for the remainder of his career. Those two lockout years hurt everybody who's been being around for that long. Costing 54 games in total. Taken alone that's 1000-15000 points for guys like A.I., Kobe, Shaq, KG, TD, Pierce, Allen and everybody I forgot.

So surpassing 15,000 assists is by far the bigger achievment. I don't think Magic would have gotten there because Stockton's game and numbers simply lasted that long. You can see it also on his number of steals. Same for Hakeem's block numbers but without the early stats he's not the REAL number one anyway. Kareems record for total points is going to be broken. It's to me the least untouchable of all this because of Kobe, Lebron and Durant being on the pace. It's up to their health and will.

SMH!
