Rondo could be great if he got it together, just feel like every year he is getting in more and more trouble for stupid, pointless things. Just my opinion, but damn kid that team can be yours, grow up a little.

Hawks general manager Danny Ferry has been fined $15,000 for inappropriate interaction with the game officials following the game.

Anyone watch the game? Wonder what it was like, I think Ferry got this from the same game lol

I mean that obviously isn't bad at all, but I have no problem with the suspension, every player knows they aren't supposed to touch an official.

Rondo thinks he can intimidate the refs? Again?

Sportfan

wtf? he didn't even get a technical?

What happens if the Ref initiates the contact? lol... Not saying he did here but it was pretty close. That's really tough to suspend someone for that. I know the rules are rules, and Rondo should've been more careful, but dag.

Knicks lucking out with that one. Was hoping to see a good game but probably not anymore. Is Bradley back at least?

I remember that play, Doc was pretty upset, it was the right call by the official... but that's soft, he shouldn't have gotten a suspension

He touched the ref while arguing a call, it wasn't that bad but it was against the rules

Sportfan

it was a bs offensive foul call. this is the most rondo touched him

Apparently kicking someone in the nuts is equal to that.

We've been real lucky this season. J-rich hurts his ankle....Jackson hurts his ankle ...Rondo suspended......

Agreed. Wanted to see Rondo out there, it's more of a test for the Knicks and now if the Celts lose, they got an excuse. Should always want to beat a team at full strength.

Rondo has been playing great too, really wanted to see these teams go at it full strength.....gotaa wait till the next one.

I think the problem is Rondos history and always doing this.

love rondo as a player but sometimes he just doesn't think about his actions

Yeah man we play up to the competition also have to worry about a let down now as well in addition to the points you made.

well he's only touched a ref one other time, but even so was a suspension necessary? Maybe a fine, but a suspension? that's way too much

Celtics shouldn't win tonight but we do play down to the competition a lot. Hopefully it being the celtics will make us play hard

Pretty sure you touch an official regardless how minor it is, it is a suspension

Wow, I knew the Knicks would win tonight, but now without having to worry about who is going to guard Rondo the 3 points shots will be falling tonight!

I'd say Melo goes for 40 again and JR gets like 25. Amare gets 8.

 It should be 0, that's the point of the suspension. A player has no reason to ever touch a ref. The suspension is completely warranted.

The craziest thing about this is that the officials and the nba didnt even recognize it until Hawks GM Danny Ferry in his sore losership sent the officials the video of the play. He got fined 15k for doing so, but seriously Ferry?

Rondo needs to grow up. He is continuously *****ing about calls. He thinks he can just intimidate whoever it is in his way. Someone needs to just ***** slap him in the face.

I would love to see these players now play with guys like Rodman, Xavier McDaniel, Charles Oakley and guys like that. They would just beat these little *****es up. It would be hilarious.

Fine, but no suspension (although we don't know what he said, seen rondo get in trouble a few times for subtle lip movement). With his rep, deserved or not, I'm not surprised or even upset.

Other players are going to step up. The knicks have won tough games without Melo and I don't expect the C's to just roll over because they don't have Rondo. I'm a big fan of Rondo, but he always seems to get himself in trouble

This is a recurring problem with him. Who's to say the ref didn't feel threatened and swung or pushed Rondo off thus escalating the situation.

If the ref thought it was unnecessary contact, why didn't he T him up right then and there??
