Surprised he called out Mark... kind of a dick move on his part... Mark has given him 11 straight years of 50 wins seasons with a good amount of help, and finally things get a little rough and he starts going to the press.. A little disappointed in Dirk...

I think Dirk to the Bulls for a trade package involving Deng and draft picks would be good.

I know it has to get to him that Cuban spent year after playing fantasy gm.

Finley, Nash, Jamison, Walker, Van Exel, Dampier, Stackhouse, Terry, Kidd, Marion, Tyson etc

Only to get it right once, win a ring, and blow it up without a shot at defending their title

It did kind of make sense because Dallas had just won a NBA championship and Chris Paul and Deron were on losing teams. And Mark probably thought no way Dwill would stay with the Nets over his hometown team. And CP3 was then traded and opted into his final year same with Dwight.

He's probably angry with Cuban for having these dreams of landing the next superstar player instead of sticking with what won them their ring in the first place, esp. after working for years to find the right mix of players.

Dirk's been one of the main reasons they've had those years of 50 win seasons; things started going down the crapper last season when they let Chandler and JJB go and they worsened it by letting Kidd/Terry walk. He's been pretty silent overall-he can talk if he thinks Cuban's ****ed them up. Besides, the press likely asked him about the current situation-doubt he went racing to the press to talk about Cuban.

I think he's more upset about the fact that they let Chandler leave with the hope they'd get Deron and Howard. Now they get neither and likely won't turn things around before he retires.

He's mad because Cuban is hunting ghosts and getting franchise nowhere. Mavs tried a lot, nothing has worked out. No ones fault but just relying on a cap space flexibility but getting possible no superstar to sign, not in the past off season, neither in the next...he might be asking why someone should sign with them, witnessing Mavs blowing up a team, having no one great on the roster besides a 34 old guy who's coming back from surgery and a record gettign worse and worse... while Dallas hasn't been attractive for high quality free agents lately (except for old veterans). So dirk is only aware and conscious about the situation and opposite to Cuban, not dreaming. Either they get something together pretty soon on the trading block or they might go into next season just with another roster highly off-the-wall at worst but very likely.

That would be DOPE, but Cuban would never trade him to the team 50 miles down the road.

Cuban gambled on children (Williams/Howard).

He never should have let Chandler walk, period. Dirk doesn't want to spend the golden years of his career fighting for a playoff spot, it's understandable.

Should have kept him, should have brought in a younger, good pg (not Deron, acccetpable Calderon, Vasquesz, Paul), some defenders (guys like terriers) as well as some shooters (guys like Novak) to surround them. To that, you can add Mayo a this price and they'd be fine. Adjust the roster year after year on one or two spots and that's it.

I wish it was only 50 miles. OKC is actually closer to Dallas than Houston. But I get what you are saying.
