The Lakers and Celtics have two players that are currently in the lead for starting spots in the NBA All-Star game. Both of those teams are under .500 and been around that area all season. I have seen many players with great stats not make it to the All-Star game because they was so called "just playing good basketball on bad teams" but i guess people feel different towards them 4 players. How can you have a team with two starting All-Stars but can push your team at least over the .500 mark? I dont care if you the "best center", "leading scorer", "top assist man", or "what ever KG is". This is just my opinion and I would love to hear your opinion on this.

I've personally never cared about a teams record when talking about an individual's accomplishment like an all star selection.

Howard does not really have the competitition to not start at his position.
Kobe is playing his (INDIVIDUAL no matter how much he is hurting the team) Best season.
Kg, is playing like if he was several years younger.

And they have had a HUGHE impact on the media for YEARS , fans vote, so theres no way around it really,

Pierce will definitely make it to the ASG as a reserve.

Well, for starters, it shows how you need so much more than just a couple good/great players.

Dude its a popular vote, a fan vote, its who the fans wanna see, has nothing to do with teams records, that's why the coaches get to pick reserves though

It's too early in the season to take records wholly into the consideration. The Celtics are 16-17 right now and they were 15-17 last season at this time, and still were within 5 minutes of getting to the Finals last year.

HOW? HOW?
Because it's a popular vote.

I'm sorry, please a better PG or guard for that matter to replace Rajon Rondo at the spot

Please pick a better SG in the NBA than Kobe right now, Harden? Nah.
Also, in about a month, Howard should be looking a lot better.
