It is obvious this team needs to go into rebuilding mode in the next year or two, I am watching the Memphis/Boston game right now and they are just getting destroyed, lost their last 3 games straight and just have no energy. Now P.P. will retire a Celtic but KG...What do you think is his trade value IF he got traded? What could a core of Demarcus Cousins, Rondo and Paul Pierce do? Just speculation obviously but this Celtics team, every time I have seen them this year has been horrid, but who knows...maybe like last year they will turn it on after the All Star break....

kg would retire first i think unless he was going to a strong contender and even then i'm not so sure he sticks around.

might as well join the grandpa knicks for amare lol.

He has 3 years left on his contract and seems to go down hill quite a bit each season. He's still shooting good and you know what your getting on the defensive end but that contracts a little overwhelming.

yeah it would be amazing for you guys. but i said it as a joke not only because he's old and would fit in lol, but because the money wouldn't work and the celtics wouldn't want amare for him.

KG has a no trade clause , so if celtics decide to go in rebuilding mode he retires .

Kevin Garnett for a package of Houston's young talent, something like Patrick Patterson, Marcus Morris, Royce White...?

Garnett gets re-united with McHale, Rockets starting 5 becomes Lin/Harden/Parsons/Garnett/Asik

This is quite possibly the worst trade idea ever. The only other team that could benefit from KG at this point besides Boston is Miami.

Honestly, when are you gonna stop with this crap?

Also, why not worry about the Knicks? I heard next year they are gonna petition to the league for no night games so they don't miss Matlock.

I thought it was kinda dumb when the Celtics resigned him last year for 3 more years.Granted he had a good year last year but still they need to start rebuilding they are going to get stuck in no mans land and just extend the rebuild process that is inevitable at this point.

derrick williams? in a bag of peanuts ?

I think celtics should move pierce to Golden state something like pierce and jason terry for Biedrins barnes in a 1st rd pick would be great for both teams right now.

curry
thompson
pierce
lee
bogut

bench is also deep

jack
terry
azele
landry
green

Can this team compete out west? I think so.

Super.

I'm sure if they sent him to a team that would contend he'd stay in the league. If they do decide to go into rebuilding mode I could see them getting rid of him to a contender in a 3 team trade with his blessing.

I don't see the Celts moving KG, especially with no trade clause. And other teams would be weary of his age, even though he's still a very effective PF on both ends, who knows how long his body will hold up. Teams aren't going to give up a lot for him because it's too risky, although he would help basically every team in the NBA.

would lOVE to see him on the rockets. would make that team VERY interesting

Boston really needed to get a couple guys that can contribute right away from the draft. One guys is coming off the bench, the other guy is still in the D-League, so obviously the draft didn't help much. Boston is going to have to be very creative if they hope to remain in contention.

I'd give anything to have him in NY, but the Knicks don't have anything to trade outside of Shump.

But man, Chandler/Garnett/Melo would be insane.

Celtics do not have Ray Allen to offer as he was always the weakest link in terms of people in Boston willing to let go..... If danny traded Pierce, Rondo, KG or even Bradley he would be burned at the stake

Sacramento isn't going to trade Cousins in a package for KG at this point in each of their careers.

There's no way KG goes to any team that doesn't have a true chance of contending. There is also no reason Boston trades him for a bad contract (I'm looking at you JB, and whoever said "Bargs"). There's also no way a team, like the Kings, trades a young player with star potential for him, like Cousins.

I doubt it happens.

Patriotsfan97
01-04-2013, 01:46 PM
1. KG has a no trade clause. He isn't going anywhere. 2. Staff doesn't want to move him. 3. We wouldn't get much back for him. Unless it was a package deal for Cousins, Gortat, or another rising big man. Even still, we'd give up too much for him.
So, no. KG will not be traded.
