Too many big pieces, doubt it happens... Would Grizzlies really give up that much just to get Gasol with Mark?

Memphis would never.

Pairing the Gasol brothers who will get the best out of each other, a versatile guard who plays both the PG & SG position and a solid SF who can score especially from 3 is being 'violated'? Little extreme.

Better trade:
To Lakers: Conley,Zach
To Memphis: Pau,blake,duhon,ebanks,Clark and Sacre

So the Lakers get rid of Duhon, Ebanks, and Gasol for Rudy Gay, Moute, and Udrih? Right....

Why on earth would Memphis do this???

Pau & Monta's 2yrs (which if brought back afterwards could be signed for cheaper under the new CBA

>

Zbo & Gay's 3yrs 16M a piece.

Pau entering his mid-30s and an undersized scoring guard that plays no defense while losing one of the better SFs in the league and one of the very best post players in the league is rape. Plus Randolph is better than Gasol. There's absolutely no benefit other than the PR move of bringing the Gasol brothers together.

Duhon is a PG replacement for Udrih which I doubt they were keeping long term & considering he's under a 1yr contract. They trade him for Duhon who's on a half guaranteed contract at 3.5M or pay Udrih his 7M for the year if there's no takers or you can't package him.

Randolph replaces Mbah a Moute as the established veteran, Ellington for Monta's shooting & Ebanks for versatility, athleticism and defense.

memphis fans hate Pau cause he asked to be traded , so no they wouldnt.

they probably wouldnt trade the fat *** for pau straight up because of it.

Pau & Marc would thrive and feed off each other, what MEM loses in defense from Rudy (being paired could actually benefit Pau on defense) they gain in offense with the shooting of Monta & Dunleavy. Also saves money for them so they can fill another position. (Won't lose all defense, still have Tony Allen.)

Not sure how long MEM will keep that core with Zbo/Gay making that kind of money for the next 3 years.

Lakers get rid of a aging player with a bad contract and some role players who they don't care about to receive an all-star caliber player who's in his prime and player of that same position to replace the main piece they traded. Meanwhile the Grizzlies break up their teams core and team chemistry. And the Bucks give up their top 2 scorers/players for a one dimensional big man who's over 30 and probably struggle being the first option on offense while playing terrible defense. ONLY TEAM WINS IN THIS IS THE LAKERS, NO FREAKING DEAL!!!!!!

Monta Ellis PG/SG
Mike Dunleavy SF
Pau Gasol PF/C

Memphis is on the upside. They're not going to shoot themselves in the foot by trading for the "finesse" Gasol (when they got rid of him in the first place), a washed-up shooter and Monta Ellis while trading away their top player.

As a Lakers fan, yes, Gay would be great for us, but this would never happen. The only way Gay becomes a Laker is if I replay my 2007 NBA Live dynasty.

Why would Memphis downgrade at PF? I mean and it is a downgrade from Zach to Pau when it comes to playing the PF spot, and it is an even worse contract as they didnt deem Pau worthy of a max player in his prime, let alone a 20mil max guy with bad legs.

Hell they downgrade the perimeter too as Gay is more efficient, a better defender, and Conley would lose the ball out of his hands,

Just why would the ****ing Griz even think about it?

There's a lot of threads that make people hate knicks fans this one makes Mr hate Lakers fans so they get all that for gasol ? N why would they trade 2 od there core 3 while there one of the best teams in the league for a washed up over paid injury plagued gasol who has barley been on the court and.a monta Ellis who hasnt been himself .. especially for zbo whose playing top 10 in the game...smh.some lakers fans..repost if u agree Lmao

Exactly. The three best pieces in this deal are Randolph, Gay, and Conley.

LAL/MEM/MIL Trade Scenario — How plausible?

LAL

Beno Udrih PG
Rudy Gay SF
Mbah a Moute PF

MEM

Monta Ellis PG/SG
Mike Dunleavy SF
Pau Gasol PF/C

MIL

Chris Duhon PG
Wayne Ellington SG
Devin Ebanks SG/SF
Zach Randolph PF

At first I looked at this trade and thought: No way any of these teams are going for that. But then at second glance, I must say that such a trade might help improve each team, save teh Bucks. That said, I think that some of the teams might be more interested in keeping younger players. I think Memphis is playing very well right now, Z-Bo is playing the best ball of his career and Rudy Gay is a grossly underrated player in this league. But having Gasol and Gasol teaming up together could be very interesting since they know each other so well, and Ellis would provide a scoring punch at the SG spot, even if Dunleavy is a downgrade from Gay.

The Lakers would vastly improve their SF spot, but at the same time leave something lacking at PF... Jamison and Hill could fill those minutes up of course, and a Moute would be decent in the rotation. And Udrih would obviously make a great back-up for Nash.

The bucks though, seem to gain the least from this, unless their goal is the shed a contract or two. Moute is making close to 5 million, Udrih over 7 million, and Dunelavy Jr. close to 4 million (which is reasonable), while Ellis making over 11 million.... Ellis is a quality combo guard, but his FG% the last couple of seasons has taken a big hit, and he may bolt in free agency which means the Bucks may lose him for nothing, or have to overpay him to keep him, neither of which is a good situation. So I guess picking up Z-Bo would be good, but I don't think he makes them good enough. He's 31 years old, and if he were 25 I think the trade might be very appealing for the Bucks, but at 31, I think he is only the kind of talent that a GM wuold want to bring in if he made the team a contender immediately. Everybody other player that the Bucks would be getting in return (other than Z-Bo) is basically filler. So they would be giving up four key rotation players (Ellis is a starter while Moute and Dunleavy both get 25+ minutes a game and Udrih gets close to 20 minutes a game) for only one starter in return. Unless they were just looking to dump contracts and were also getting a number of picks back in return, I don't think the Bucks would go for this.

This trade is flawed in many ways. Starting with the fact you just made a weak bench weaker. You've benched MWP because Gay has to start. Moute to replace Gasol is terrible.

With Gasol in Memphis you have no real post up player on offense and you lose a lot boards. You move Allen to the 3 and have a very small backcourt.

Milwaukee gives up two starters for one and role player? No deal.

why would memphis trade away randolph and gay?.they both are stars who can be the #1 option on many teams in the league..why would they trade for a volume shooter in ellis and a declining gasol?..it might make a nice story for the year if both gasols play together however if you want to win a championship you don't trade pieces that will help you contend.
