This would be a good match up with 11 Mavericks with Dirk playing at his peak vs Lebron and his peak season. I have no idea who would have HCA because the 82 and 66 game season throws everything out of wack. Who wins this seven game series.

Refs would obviously help the Heat.

I think the Heat would win.

The main reason the Heat lost in 2011 was because Lebron became the Mavs' *****. A 2012 Lebron wouldn't be the Mavs' ***** so I think the Heat would win.

Every thread this guy creates involve the Heat

11 Heat had won the series which some people forget, before they got to cocky and collapsed. So my answer is 12 Heat

More like they should have won. Had they gone up 2-0, it most likely would be insurmountable for Mavericks to overcome but who knows?

If the Lakers didn't blow a 25 point lead in the finals they would have 3peated. **** happens.

The 2012 Heat, Lebron played like a madman. Even though I cried when Dirk won, Lebron was still better.

Probably the Heat. Those were the miracle Mavs. Dirk was on fire and he got support at the right moments.

Clearly the Heat...this coming from a Mavs follower. The only thing that hindered the Heat in 2011 were the heat themselves. In 2006 it was the other way around plus the refs.

The Heat rosters wasn't really any better in 2012 than it was in 2011, LBJ just played at a different level.

Prime Iverson would have beat both teams - at the same time.

I think heat win in 6 at most. LBJ didn't just choke, the mavs exploited a particular weakness in his game. Lebron in term if his style if play and the heat in terms of personal tools steps to fix this weakness. LBJ learning to be better of ball cutting, POSTING, finding opening where he could "catch" the ball in the paint or close to it. Combine with the array of 3 snipers the heat had. Barrier, rio, miller, jones. It would been extremely hard for Dallas to beat them 4 out of 7 playing zone.
Especially with LBJ at the four, IMO.

Lebron went into hibernation mode after game 1 for whatever reason. He just wasn't the same player.

Prime Tmac too. He never needed Ben Wallace and Ilgauskas as the man to win a championship.

Not so much. The heat were clearly the much more superior team. Its just that lebron disappeared in those finals games.

Guess i'll be the odd one and say the Mavs will win but probably in the 7th game. Dirk will still be tough for them to defend, and that Mavs defense/zone would still give the Heat problems.

Odd one? It's basically a 50-50 poll.

It's a question of the mindset and will, less the roster to me.

I agree that HEAT probably win. But people have gotta stop saying this Mavs team was lightning in a bottle. They were on a CRAZY tear for the first 35 games or whatever until Dirk went down. Dirk was playing like a no-brainer MVP and the Mavs looked like the best team in the league. It just took a long time for him to really recover and for the team to get it together again after his return.

The 2012 Heat had Ronny Turiaf, whom you can only hope to contain, but will never be able to stop...

Who would guard dirk tho? Lebron? Battier?

I'm saying Dallas because dirk was playing out of his mind.

I'm a little bias tho.

It all depends on if Marion or Stevenson shuts down Lebron like they did in 2011.

I thought you meant Dallas vs Heat this year....no contest.

However the 2011 Mav's did beat Heat, they just didn't have enough to repeat with OKC around. I liked it so much more when OKC was SEA(sonics), and sucked and Utah had easy time getting division titles.

The league would like it a lot more if they just left. MIA would like it, and so would everyone else.. I mean DAL didn't even make it past round 1 the following year! OKC beat them in round 1, lakers in 2nd, and Spurs in 3rd...I wish Utah could do that...it would be my dying wish!
