Clippers Schedule:

12/28 - @Jazz
12/30 - vs Jazz
1/1 - @Denver (9-1 at home so far)
1/2 - @Golden State
1/4 - vs Lakers (usually count as home games for the Lakers but who knows nowadays)
1/5 - vs Golden State
1/9 - vs Dallas

Bobcats Schedule:

12/28 - @Brooklyn
12/29 - vs New Orleans
12/31 - @Chicago
1/4 - vs Cleveland
1/6 - @Detroit
1/9 - vs Utah

I bet the Cats win at home against New Orleans, thus winning said challenge. I think the Nugs continue their hot home streak and beat the Clippers there.

Utah's a really good home team and the Clips are on a back to back, so there's potential for a loss in tonight's game. Warriors and Denver are also teams they don't want to play on the road (Warriors actually beat them in Staples their first meeting).

Fair question, but I'll still go Charlotte wins. 4 of their next 5 are winnable.

There is a good chance the Bobcats win 4 of the next 5 games... so bobcats

Looking at the schedule, I'd have to say the Bobcats have a pretty good chance to win 4 of the next 5 games. The Nets are playing with an interm coach and are dealing with multiple injuries. NO is one of the worst teams in the league and they are playing them in Charlotte... NO's road record is awful. And Cleveland is playing without Anderson-V right now and will also be playing in Charlotte. And finally Detroit has an awful record right now as well, though I would pick them to win that game, Charlotte does have a shot.

I expect LAC to win both games agaisnt Utah since the Jazz are playing without their starting PG and have guys on the trading block that likely aren't as invested in the team as they might otherwise be (even if they are putting in an honest effort). So the next potential loss for the Clippers I would guess would be in Denver and then in Goldenstate (both teams have been playing well lately and have healthy rosters and since the Clippers will be on the road, I think there is real potential to lose there. If the Clippers can win those two games, I expect them to be able to pull out a win in LA, though that is another potential loss, while the two games afterward should be relatively easy for the Clipper to win, Denver and Dallas in LA.

I'd put my money on the Bobcats winning first, but if they don't win one of the next two games, I'd put my money on the Clippers losing first.

I don't think Clippers will win both against Utah. Even with Millsap waiting to be traded and Mo out, Utah is probably the only team who has as good as bench, I think we have a better bench with 4 1st round picks.

Its gonna come down to our starters and whether they can make their shots. We both strive on getting stops and running the ball. I think Foye has something to prove, since he was traded to us from clippers during off-season.

Bobcats couldn't win a game even if they tried. Clipppers will eventually tire out and this streak is building up even more pressure to win. Plus Clippers took away Utahs home streak that was at 7-0(we were the last West Coast to stay undefeated at home(NY and Heat were last two after us).

You took our streak, we will take yours!

My prediction, Utah loses at home, but wins in Staples(which is a day after the Bobcast win the Hornets). So technically they will tie, by both winning their second game from now.

All 7 of those LAC games are harder to win, than what they have been getting. Bobcats best shot is the Hornets, which will be like watching HS basketball.

tie. Cats will win tonight and Clips will drop a close one in Utah then burry them at home.

I think we have a better bench with 4 1st round picks.

Utah may have a better bench, I'm not saying they don't, but the arguement here is weak: "We have a better bench with 4 1st round picks"? Seriously? Most players in the league are first round picks, and those who weren't should have been.

The Clippers have:
Crawford
Bledsoe
Odom
Hill (though Hill is out with injury)

All those guys are first round picks. But just because you are picked in the first round doesn't mean you are good. Matt Barnes was picked in the second round for example, and he's played a bigger role on the teams he's played for than has; Adam Morrison, Tyrus Thomas, Sheldon Williams, Pat O'Bryant, Joe Alexander, Hasheem Thabeet, Johnny Flynn and any number of not only first round picks, but LOTTERY picks that were drafted much higher than he was.

You can have a bench filled with second round picks that are far better than a bench filled with first round picks.

Ben Wallace was undrafted, as was Udonis Haslem.

In 1986, the following players were all drafted in the second round or later; Rodman, Duckworth, Mark Price, Nate McMillen, Jeff Hornacek, Drazen Pertovic, and Johnny Newman, all of whom had great careers as NBA players and all of whom are better than a great many of first round picks. I could put together a team that is better than the current Utah roster with players picked after teh first round in this one draft alone, so being a first round draft pick doesn't make you good, it just means you've convinced a GM that you are.

I think the Clippers will drop one before the Bobcats win. It's easier to lose than to earn a win...

tie. Cats will win tonight and Clips will drop a close one in Utah then burry them at home.

That is right!

I wasn't making my point on the fact they are 1st rounders. I was pointing out that Utah has invested in young talent in the last 2 years, and now are growing the future of the Jazz(who are already great bench players, and most could easily replace our starters).
I figured you knew who they were and knew what a threat they will be to LAC's continued streak. Our bench could easily play your starters, and LAC's bench could easily play our starters.

Besides for Al and Mo, we don't have big players putting up big stats in all categories. They are the only non-replaceable players on the team, and we lost Mo.(we have no young "1st rounder" to replace him, like we do with all the other positions, just two old guys who are a 3rd string PG and a bench PG against your two obvious starter PG's(biggest miss match tonight)).

Kanter is great, but he won't match Jeffersons stats that are overall better than Griffens.(hell Jefferson should be considered best Center in the league next Marc and Dwight).

The Clips are gonna lose one of these next two games against the Jazz. I can almost guarantee it.

As for the Bobcats, I could see them stealing one away from New Orleans or Cleveland.

Clippers will lose first

Side note: Halo is gay

You are a very smart person.

Last year, we were dead even 1-1 @staples and 1-1 @Energy! The year before, we won 3-0 @Staples and 1-0 @Energy!!

LAC @Energy in 12-13 is 1-1, series a tie so far(no @LAC). I chose going to 10-11 because that is the year this Griffen era started. Pretty much we have 4 more wins(cause of the first year).

Either way, we did win the first time in preseason so it is possible! Then Clippers came from a home stay, and we came home after our road trip and LAC took our home streak. We have lost to Memphis and Golden State since(which in all due honesty, we faced great power and fell short to great teams, but @Energy we also won to the likes of OKC, LAL, HOU, DEN, SAS, and DAL).

Clippers road record is impressive, but it doesn't exactly prove beyond a reasonable doubt that they can bring the "Lob City" every night(especially to one of the toughest places). I know tonight will be sold out, we are pissed and want revenge. A Jazz fan who wants revenge...well its gonna be ugly(like 48 mins of screaming from 20k angry fans who want you to turn into "slob city").

I tried telling someone in the Clippers forum that their schedule was a lot easier through this streak compared to the rest of their season, but they thought I was some idiot ***.. Which is crazy, and here is why:

Before their 30 days of hell with only 4 home games between Jan 14th and Feb 14th, they are going to be facing 5/8 teams that are .500+, 3 of which are on the road(staring with Utah @Energy, with 2 other Road Games @Denver and @GS)(LAL, DAL & ORL, being the other 3 teams)!
Then the next 6/8, after the 14th of Feb, are versus more .500+ teams(mostly at home). The rest of March is fairly tough, with 3 playoff teams in one road trip and 5-6 tough home games versus other playoff teams like NY, OKC, MEM, BK, and MIL.

Starting today's road game, there is no way in hell they are going to be able to get 5+ in a row with their future schedule. Maybe in March or April they could get a 5+, but its going to be impossible to continue past 20, or start another streak past 10+!!

I'll peep the schedule when I get home from work and let you know how I think they will fare during the month. I predicted 21-7 in the 1st 28, they were 22-6. I can see them winning 3 of the games against NY, OKC, MEM, BK(not tough) and MIL(not that tough).

Pretty much they got an 8-Game Road trip and another long road trip, and between Jan 14 and Feb 14, they only get 4 home games, which is crazy tough! I mean those road trips can wear you out. By the end of the season we will see who makes it out alive.

I am not saying what LAC did so far isn't amazing, it is. I mean they took out 2 tough east teams in a 4 game road trip, which was in the middle of this streak.

Um, all joking aside, I think there was a thread on this already.

I'm gonna say Clippers... Level of Competition coming up could get them an L. They could also just let up. The Bobcats will challenge Cleveland's record lol

Before the other night I said, and I quote "Knowing the Jazz they will lose the game at home, and win @Staples, because they always lose the games they should win, and win the games they should lose.".

In this case, we lose two advantages, home court, and LAC playing the night before. Now we have no advantages and they have 1, home court advantage.

"This one is a great win for us because we kind of needed a challenge," forward Blake Griffin said. "(We had) to prove not only to everybody else but to ourselves that we can still win close games like this and win a game down 19 in the third quarter.

About Utah and LAC game! This actually makes me feel better for some reason. Because the voice of the best team goes along way.
