It's only a matter of time before Jimmer goes to the Jazz.

Doesn't 'breaking ankles' require dribbling? This was more of a headfake. Otherwise there's endless ankle breakers each game. 3pt shooters headfake and let the defender fly by them all the time. Not much different here.

Tucker has actually grown into a pesty defender this year. Not sure how it took this long for him to find a nitch in the league.

Pesky enough to get shook. Actually breaking ankles does not require dribbling, that's just how it happens usually.

I think you're alone there, people ALWAYS assume some type of crossover for breaking ankles, care to share another video of breaking ankles without dribbling then?

I think your homerism may have swayed the way you viewed that. Not very impressive :eyebrow:

If this would have been an ankle-breaking play, Tucker would not have been able to recover and still make a good attempt to defend the shot.

So great, Jimmer shook a journeyman, borderline D-League player, and that means what exactly?

I like PJ Tucker, he works hard ALL the time. But this play was not impressive in the least. Partially because it was PJ Tucker, and partially because it just wasn't really an ankle-breaking play by any stretch of the imagination.

Pretty shot though.

As much as I enjoyed this post and wholly agree with it, this is racist...

I have not seen this kid play much but I like his game. He could turn out like Jeff Hornacek if he continues to grow his game.

I would actually be more surprised it would happen to him. People don't hear about him but he's been an excellent defender for the Suns this year. He's taken most of Beasley's minutes early in the year on his defense alone.

...I'm not taking away from the play. Jimmer had a nice fake. But it's not the way I've seen the term 'ankle breaker' defined. But it is what it is. Every player has embarrassing moments. Tucker did recover nicely all considering.

That was garbages and further proves you're a homer. What's the point of making a thread for this garbage. Man close this garbage

I mean everybody travels in the NBA so you guys are judging a little to hard, thought it was an exceptional move, not very often you see a defender get lost by a shot fake

at the end, he switches pivot foot as well.
