View Full Version : Harden: 30 points on 10 shots in the first half

I realize this is only one half of play, but holy crap. Harden has 30 points after the first two periods against Dallas. He shot 8-10 from the floor, 3-4 from beyond the arc and 11-11 from the line. I can't recall the last time I've seen a player that efficient offensively in any half of basketball and if he keeps this up, he could go for 50 tonight.

Unreal. Gotta be the best first half line in god knows how long.

Love the man. He's so fun to watch. His aggressiveness >>>>

I could see that happening. I've watched the last few heat games and Wade's mailed it in. He looks slower, he can't even hit the midrange with consistency anymore, less athletic, and just doesn't seem to hustle out there. Luckily they still have some guy named Lebron, so they'll be fine.

But yeah, Harden is currently the 2nd best SG in the league.

Great 1st half performance by Harden. I'm really liking him now. He gets to shine in Houston.

I like Harden, but I think the refs like him ALOT more.

I've watched almost this whole game tonight and I'd say all the fouls on him have been pretty legit. The dude just knows how to draw contact and he has no qualms about being aggressive and attacking the rim. Does he get the benefit of the doubt sometimes? Sure. But I certainly don't think he flops.

Has Kevin Martin done this? And he had a horribly inefficient game not to long ago, I was counting on the law of averages to come through but not like that.

Hahaha people on psd are ridiculous. They have a good night so now all of a sudden they're better than Wade? Regardless of whether or not you think they're better offensively (which is still laughable) did you forget that there's a whole other side of the ball that neither of those guys are even remotely close to Wade in?

Harden is better than Wade. The fact that there was a debate on whether Westbrrok would be better than Wade this year has become a joke in any serious NBA fans eyes by this point.

It's as simple as Wade being on the decline and Harden being on the incline. The only thing you have as ammo appears to be turnovers, but even then you're neglecting the fact that Harden is his team's primary ballhandler and Wade is not.

Actually no turnovers isnt the only thing Wades better at. And simply saying that a player is on the decline is worse than a player thats on the incline is just irrational. Anthony Davis is on the incline but that doesn't mean that hes better than Tim Duncan

Harden averages 23 ppg on 42% shooting

As bad as Wade has been, he averages 19 ppg on 47% shooting

Harden averages a rebound more, an assist more, and .6 more steals

So the 3 more points on less efficient shooting, the 1 more rebound, and the 1 more assist make Harden the better player?

Lets also keep in mind that, like you said, Wade isn't the primary ballhandler on his team, which means he gets less opportunities to create for himself. Lets also keep in mind that Wade is a much better defender.
