If Youk signs the 1 year deal with the Yanks will you still support him or would it be a little tougher knowing hes on the Yankees. For me I would still cheer for him but I would prefer he was on another team

Is anyone here still supporting him to begin with?

I'd boo his face off.

He has my support, but I doubt he chooses to go to NY. He has beef with Joba, hes married to a Brady, and he was unquestionably loyal to this team. Don't see it.

No chance I'd boo him. It would suck to see him in NY but you can't blame him for taking the money. He worked his *** off for this team and hurt his body because of it. He had to deal with a dumbass manager calling him out last year and I'm sure he'd love to get back at us a bit because of it. I certainly won't cheer him, but I won't boo him.

I respect what he did as a player. Plus he's the 'Greek God of Walks"....

I can't see booing the guy, but if he hits a 3 run bomb and we lose, I might think about it.

I wouldnt boo him, but I wouldn't cheer for him to good while there no matter how much I like him. Plus, I hope he goes to CLE.

Now this is just me...but i was never really a Youk guy so that's why i'd boo him. I appreciate his hustle and his love of the game and he helped win a world series, but there was just something about him i didn't like, i was never a fan of how he'd throw the helmet after a strikeout or how he seemed pissed off alot.

I hope the Yanks sign him to be honest. He's not the player he used to be so I actually hope they pay him $12M, he's a good bet to get injured playing 3B.

I wouldn't actively boo/jeer --- but I wouldn't be clapping/cheering or anything like that either, regardless of the team he's on. The last season or so soured me on him, not to mention his idiot brother not exactly sweetening the deal.

I was rooting for him last year

It will be different if he goes to NYY though. Can't hate him for it, but I won't be rooting for him. PRobably wouldn't boo either tho.

I think it is different than Damon (The Sellout) in that the Red Sox did trade him first. So I don't know if I would want to boo him for that reason. And with the Yankees overpaying him makes it even better. Hopefully he can also add some calamity to the clubhouse for good measure.

I wouldn't boo the guy. Doubt he signs in New York though.

Hard to root against the guy. Damon was a much different thing than if Youk signs.

yeah damon chose to sign there over us while youk might just be choosing there because he'll get the most money from them and might not get any other offers

Not sure and probably wouldn't have to worry because those tickets will still be pricey as ****:laugh2:

If he signs in NY instead where he can sign with tito and the indians... Im booing his ***. plain and simple. I'd still cheer if he went to the indians however.

If he signs in NY, I want to change my screen name. I will be sorely disgusted, though it's not his fault. He's been my favorite Red Sox player outside of Pedro Martinez in my lifetime.

Well... the Sox dealt him, so his responsibility is limited vs Damon. There is a good chance the injuries/decline screw his season - which would be nice to see on the MFY.

ill be livid if he goes to NYY.. F that.. go the indians.. or play with Billy Beane who wants to blow youk. LAD need a 3rd baseman if they trade Dee gordon and move hanley to SS

He owes no favors to any of those guys.

I can't knock him for going where the money is. I think we as fans get carried away with the rivalry. He owes nothing to us, the Red Sox or anyone else...if he wants to go to NYY then go for it. I can't knock the guy.

I don't think I'd boo, but I won't cheer him either. He was an important part of the team for the most of his 8yrs he was with the team, but its not like he was Nomar or Pedro status.

He's not on the team anymore, I don't care where he signs next.

I know and understand that. That being said it would be disappointing. It is what it is in reality.
