San Antonio Spurs vs Boston Celtics

Who would win if it happened this year? How would you see the series playing out? I'd like to hear everybody's thoughts. Not sure if the general NBA forum is appropriate, but I would love to see this matchup.

Rondo against Parker
Duncan and KG going at it one last time
Pierce and Ginobili

I'd take the Celtics with their defense once they get going together this year. Two great teams and I think this is a strong possibility.

Spurs in 5...the Celtics aren't a legit contender this year.

Almost happened last season. Would've been the lowest viewed Finals since the 2005 Finals.

Spurs in 5.

I think, considering how they are playing, the Spurs would win this series. This is what i wanted to see in last year's NBA finals.

And you forgot perhaps the best match-up of the series: Pop vs. Rivers.

Spurs in 4 with a point differential of about +20 per game. Celtics are not even close to the Spurs right now

The Spurs would win this series in a very dominant performance over the Celtics.

I know, I'd be doing that, too if that was the finals.

I guess you like many don't appreciate good basketball. Shame

There's more to basketball than off-court drama, alley-oops, and yelling/staring down people after dunks. Believe it or not

Good basketball, yes. Geezer basketball, no.

Good basketball, yes. Geezer basketball, no.

The Spurs have one of the best executing teams in the league. Ball movement, unselfishness, guys like Parker and Manu who can get in the paint with the best of them and make things happen.

To call that Geezer basketball shows lack of knowledge of how they play, and a lack of appreciation for like I said good basketball. You must go off the public opinion of them being boring and just run with it.

Geezer ball? You forget about Jeff Green, Courtney Lee, De Colo? Celtics and Spurs have aged cores, but Rondo and the rest of the rosters are relatively young. Exciting fast-paced basketball is fun to watch, but it's not like these two teams never do fast break.
