Who would you guys like to see in the dunk contest? My picks would be:

James "flight" white
Gerald green
Blake griffin
Russel westbrook or demar derozen

That would make for a great dunk contest and possibly make it exciting again compared to previous years.

Westbrook
T.Ross
P.George
J. Evans

Westbrook adds star power. I personally think Blake is done with them and won't enter anymore but I'd like him to join.

EDIT: actually put Deandre Jordan in over George or Evans if one of them doesn't wanna do it anymore.

In order to make the Slam Dunk Contest exciting again, I think David Stern should tell the players that he will fine them if they do not perform their best dunks.

the problem with the dunk contest is they keep grabbing big men for whatever reason and when they do their dunk regardless of the difficulty level, it doesnt look as good of a dunk compared to if a shooting guard or point guard did it

derozan was robbed last time i don't think he will do another one untill they get rid of the props or the all star game is in toronto

Drummond would win it if he entered 7footer with crazy athleticism.

Kevin Durant
Dwight Howard
Lebron James
Carmelo Anthony

I think 4 of the best players from 4 of the best teams would make a good contest.

Terrence Ross still has a chip on his shoulder and since he's a bench warmer for the Raptors he will probably want to put himself on the map, expect him to strongly consider it

They should do the dunk contest every two years and not every year, that would build some more excitement to it. Plus bigger namesmay do it if its just every two years.

In order to make the Slam Dunk Contest exciting again, I think David Stern should tell the players that he will fine them if they do not perform their best dunks.

This.

In fact, I think Stern should fine himself if he can't get his best dunkers to participate in the dunk contest. I mean, fans who buy tickets to watcht he dunk contest want to see the best dunkers. LBJ. Kobe. Carter. Howard. Nate Robinson. If they aren't in the dunk contest, then Stern should fine himself for not forcing them to participate.

That said, in all seriousness, I would like to see LBJ take part in the dunk contest.

I mean, I remember when they suspended the dunk contest for a few season because it sucked. You essentially had benhc warmers making up the contest and they were all just hoping to get endorsements for winning (Dee Brown and Harold Miner come to mind).

When the dunk contest started (in the ABA) it featured the biggest stars, guys like Dr. J. When the NBA adopted it, it was the biggest names in the game, or at least some of them. Jordan. Wilkens. Drexler. Larry Nance. And some entertaning guys like Spud Webb. Once Jordan and Wilkens bowed out though, the thing went down hill.

Later some 'rising' stars particiapted. Rider. Kobe. Carter. McGrady. and the contest was back! But it has recently regressed despite having some big names involved (Howard and Griffin).

To make it interesting, you have to have great dunks and big names. I mean, Jeremy Evans won last season? WTF is Jeremy Evans? I hadn't even heard of the guy before the contest.Chase Bundinger? Paul George is a solid player, but he's not the type of guy to bring real excitement to the contest.

I guess we just don't have guys like Jordan and Wilkens and McGrady and Kobe and Carter anymore :-(

Terrence Ross said he wouldn't want to to do the dunk contest.
