The title speaks for itself but for clarity purposes; Top 3 rivals that just can't stand each other and I am not talking about interstate rivals because the Lakers/Clippers or Nets/Knicks have not shown any animosity towards each other...YET.

My 3

Heat/Celtics
Spurs/Mavs
Bulls/Pacers

I'd say there was a lot of tense moment in last season's MIA/IND series. That looks like it's got the beginings of a beautiful rivalry ;-)

Your not gonna add the Knicks nets rivalry? Or the lakers clippers? Those teams fight for turf as well as division rivals. Those two games have to be added. For a true rivalry I think there has to be a surmountable amount of hype and I think those two new rivalry exceed that and will be enticing for years to come.

Shows how compelling of a league the NBA is when people can just throw out "rivalries" that I've never heard of. Maybe they're content with being the reality show league of American sports but if they would actually use the same rules for all the players and completely revamp the playoffs so less teams make it and winning your division matters we might actually see some rivalries again.

As it stands it's just Lebron versus Durant, Kobe versus Rose, etc.

boston/brooklyn?

If someone watched basketball for the first time in their life tonight, they'd certainly think so.

I wish Indiana was competitive this year because the games against Miami would be real interesting. The LA rivalry is pretty compelling, but I feel like most of the chipiness is in the East.

Knicks v Celtics
Detroit v Chicago

although Detroit and the Knicks have both been sleeping a long time... also Philadelphia used to be in the mix there somewhere right? Once upon a time?

Lakers v Celtics obviously
Lakers v Spurs
Lakers v Houston has some history there also...

Portland and Sacramento started to have a mini rivalry with the Lakers but both have dropped off the map for like 10 years, so, no. One or two hot seasons doesn't come near to counting as a rivalry with the Lakers.

After last year, we should probably start including OKC vs Lakers, OKC vs Spurs and OKC vs Miami, although without James Harden those new rivalries are a lot less bitter and angry.

The most important one!
I don't think there is more like that one.

IMO these days os more about player vs player
LBJ vs KD
LBJ vs KB
KB vs KD
KG vs TIM
etc...

P.S. I love your SIG !!

I really don't even think Boston-Miami is a rivalry. All the hostility comes from Boston, they're dying for it to be a rivalry... But it's more like Boston hates them and pretends they're as good, but Miami is just like "nah, you can't actually compete with us, sorry" and they don't give a **** about Boston.

The Lakers/Celtics rivalry ended the day Magic retired.

Lakers Celtics anyone?

The fact that these 2 aren't in every post is Ludacris.
