Despite another near 20/20 game from Anderson-V, the short handed Cavs fell to the Suns last night. The 76ers beat the Mavs by a bucket, and Elton Brand came of the bench to pour in 18 points in 19 minutes and hauled in 8 boards. The Raptors lost to the Rockets on the road despite Rossís best game of the season and Calderonís 7 assist/o turnover effort off the bench (this guy really should be starting somewhere). Kevin Love threw his hate into the MVP race last night by posting the first 20/20 game of the season as the T-Wolves came out on top of the Kings to pull within one game of .500. And the Lakers fell to the Pacers despite a evening high 40 points from Kobe Bryant, who actually got a quardouple-double (if you count missed filed goals and turnovers). In all fairness, Gasol and MWP combined for 3-17 shooting (if you included Meeks, Duhon and Jamison that would be 4-30 on the night), while Kobe managed to get 40 points with 28 FGs. Dwight though shot 70% from the floor on 7/10 shooting. Even with Kobeís 40 points performance I think there is only need to put one name up on this poll, and that is Kevin Loveís name. Still, I will include several options for appearance sake.

He did have a great game. If it wasn't for Love's 20/20 game and Kobe's 40 point performance, I would have had another ten players on the list, and Dragic would have been one of them. He had a solid all around game.

Accidentally voted Varejao. Meant to vote Love.

I voted Varejao because I expect Love's stat line more than Varejao's. Not that Varejao hasn't been spectacular this season, but I just think it's close enough that I'll give the vote to the player I consider less talented.

What were their shooting %'s? Points alone mean nothing.

That said, obviously Love yesterday. Even though he makes a line like that seem somewhat normal now a days. Kobe's 10 turnovers kill his line. That's not the triple double you're looking for.

I'll take Tyreke's 20/7/6 +2stls/2blks on 9-14 with just 2 turnovers personally.

The thinkg I love about Love is how he just came back from injury and picked up his GOAT-level performance from game one. No need to work himself back in the rotation... he's ready to win the MVP now!
