Jason Quick of The Oregonian reports on Twitter that Minnesota Timberwolves guard Brandon Roy will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his right knee that will prevent him from making a return to the Rose Garden to face the Portland Trail Blazers, his former team, next Friday night.

He will have right knee surgery this week.

Roy missed the last 4 games with knee soreness resulting from banging knees in the preseason finale vs. Milwaukee.

Roy will undergo an arthroscopy, the 7th knee surgery of his career, dating back to high school.

He did. That was why there was some optimism about him potentially being able to make a comeback.

Unlike Bynum, I feel really bad for Roy and wish him a quick recovery if that is even possible at this point.

feel bad for the guy, and want to seem him do well, but who here didn't see this coming? He's got no knees left.....hate to see a guy trying to hang on like this when there's literally no chance he'll ever be the same player again.

Reminds me of what Grant Hill went through. He probably should just hang it up.
