Looking for some redemption tonight. I think the Spurs knew the Clips would have that playoff sweep on their mind the first time we played. Stephen Jackson seems to agree lol

“They were all hyped for that game, because we swept them,” Spurs forward Stephen Jackson said. “They still had the dustpan in the arena.”

These three games I look forward to. Especially Clips vs Spurs. That will be great!

And Nuggets vs Memphis. I want to see how Memphis does, they are the best now so people will bring their A-game against them to dethrone the kings.

Warriors vs Mavs also interesting

The Bucks are pretty good so far this year. They aren't same offensively challenged team they were in years past and its not like you can run them out of the building anymore. They have some athletes. MIL-MIA on Wednesday will be an interesting game. Scott Skiles teams normally give us some trouble and Jennings with Ersan always kill us.....

Barnes should be starting over Butler. Butler is the epitome of an explosive, streaky scorer ideal off the bench where as Barnes defends great, hits shots, gets to the line and rebounds.

Spurs are missing some wide open shots. Bledsoe defended Neal well, but these are the same looks they got in the 1st when they went up 10.

I imagine the shots will start falling and they'll regain the lead.

If the coaches were reversed.. the genius Pop would be playing Bledsoe 35 minutes on your perimeter players. Sad that Vinny doesn't realize what he has. He had a couple dumb turnovers but his attacking the rim, rebounding and defense give SA MAJOR issues. CP3 and Bledsoe are both Spurs killers.

CP3 not so much. Bledsoe/Crawford more

kdspurman
11-19-2012, 10:36 PM
Our bench is really going to struggle now. Usually Leonard or Jack are in there with them as another option. Both guys out, Pop is going to have to play the starters more. These guys are not playing with any fire, and are playing scared.

kdspurman

ha, this already?

You make it as if I said, man we're losing cause the refs etc... I simply said they're getting a ton of calls. They're getting the home team calls.

I can predict what happens in the 2nd half. The Spurs will start getting some of those calls (refs have a tendency of balancing it out), then you'll be saying the same thing.

Clippersfan86
11-19-2012, 10:42 PM
It's not just a 5 point lead in SA. It's a 15 point swing after being down 10 for a few minutes. Clippers are easily the best 3rd quarter team in the NBA, usually coming out of the gate exploding on teams so this is a great place to be for them. I expect more energy and better shooting second half and Spurs likely start getting run to death by Clipper fastbreaks.

Don't tell Clippers fans this man. Most teams get home cooking in our own damn building and refs hate our team. So the one game we get more 50/50 calls every once in a while... it's not complain worthy.

kdspurman
11-19-2012, 10:45 PM

I haven't seen enough Clipps home games but I guess most fans feel this way at some points throughout the season :D

Like I said though, I expect some questionable calls to go against the Clipps in the 2nd half. It's how it always happens

I'd rather it just be balanced the whole time . I know many teams say this but we are one of the more aggressive teams in the NBA yet it's not rare for teams to shoot way more free throws in our building. Also our bigs+Bledsoe have to be mauled to get foul calls due to their mass and strength (typical NBA double standard). Even this game Bledsoe went hard to the rim 3 times for layups and got contact.... ZERO fouls called.

kdspurman
11-19-2012, 10:50 PM
If Parker doesn't start attacking, and getting in the paint, there's no way this team can win. He has to start the attack, unless Timmy goes into God mode.

TP has not been TP this year.

Believe it or not, he started out last year the same way. He picked up once Manu went out for a few months.

With Kawhi and Jackson both out for some time, now would be the time for him to do it again.

stupid signing, but it did start the domino effect of the clippers having their best off-season ever.

Naw Butler has next season and that's it. He has a shoulder injury is why he was out, plus Barnes was amazing.

So many thoughts on the game... It's one of those where I can't even say good game afterwards. (for obvious reasons) Clips came in and won it.

But it is what it is. 11 games in, just get ready for Boston Wednesday.

I wish we kept Barnes. At the same time, he's so up and down as you guys will notice. Some games he looks like a stud, others he just doesn't use his head. He's been solid so far though.

twice he did, he missed on Kobe too when Green hit the game winner. Probably worked out better might've been a charge :p

Not a poor sport by any means. Hell I was here saying good game to the Knick fans last week, and that loss really annoyed me. I know when to give props for sure.

Tonight was pretty brutal... It was pretty obvious, but it's November. Whatever I guess

Steph Curry just flat dominant down the stretch, even played great D for a change. Our rookies - especially Barnes - are good and for the Dubs 6-5 and getting the next 5 at Oracle is a solid start to the year. Nice OT win over Dallas.

As a Spurs fan, you really shouldn't take regular season losses to heart. I mean, best record in the WEst in each of the last 2 seasons and no finals appearance should be an indicator to you guys that regular season really doesn't matter for a team that already has an established core and coaching staff and system like the Spurs. It's the playoffs...title or bust.

That's a far easier philosophy to live by when you've witnessed a dynasty.

so the clips pay caron 10 mil a year to play 6 minutes in the first quarter... sweetTrue but like you said, he was the first signing that made us a "destination". I'm still hoping for the best from him and he isn't so bad that you can't play him.

I wish we kept Barnes. At the same time, he's so up and down as you guys will notice. Some games he looks like a stud, others he just doesn't use his head. He's been solid so far though. The good thing about our depth is that we can just bench his *** when he plays like ish. Honestly I like Barnes better than Butler. I'm hoping Hill comes back healthy and we end up with Hill starting and Barnes coming off the bench come playoff time.

LOL at a Spurs fan ever complaining about the refs. How long have you been a fan? How many games have the refs won for you team over the years!?!? Tim Duncan can't even play in the Olympics because they officiate him fairly. I once saw him change his pivot foot 3 times and nail a game winner in the playoffs. I believe it was against the Lakers so I didn't care at the time. Duncan is also a WAY bigger cry baby than Griffin or Paul. In fact I think he's the biggest cry baby in NBA history, but for some reason everyone thinks he's such a great role model.

As a fan it sucks seeing Pop throw out these weird lineups we haven't seen before, and then lose control of the game. I know it's better for the long run, but I hate seeing us lose regardless.

Yea, because the refs really want to help the small market Spurs win in the playoffs since it's oh so good for the NBA and their precious ratings right?

Spurs took lead early, Jackson got hurt and we lost our toughness. Clippers proceed to go on huge run once Pop put in a lineup we haven't seen before, and pretty much don't look back until the last 5 mins or so where Spurs threaten. Paul makes huge shot to put LA up 4 with 24 seconds left, Spurs don't score again. Pretty much the summary

Denver, Golden State, and La Clippers won. Wow, if I was betting I'd do terribly as I thought that Dallas, Memphis, and SA would win

I don't think there is any conspiracy with the refs or the league. I do think good teams with good and respected players get the majority of the iffy calls. The Spurs are a perfect example of that. I think bad teams generally don't get calls and start to complain and lose the respect of the refs. Duncan on the other hand has always been one of the most demonstrative players(the most IMO) as far as telling the refs they are doing a poor job, but no one ever calls him on it.
