I don't see how Lariano makes sense for the Tigers. They already have several back of the rotation guys.

The Dodgers will sign at least 1 of these pitchers... And will make a trade for another front of the rotation guy...

I have the Dodgers signing Anibal Sanchez to go with Kershaw and Beckett atop the rotation. They will also have RYU next year.

This is how I have their rotation going into the season:
Kershaw
Beckett
Sanchez
Ryu
Harang

No need to trade for another pitcher.

One trade I would make is: Ethier & Capuano or Harang for a Starting Catcher. If they trade Ethier, they could go after a Nick Swisher/Cody Ross.

46 million for Dempster is hilarious. Tigers would not be interested I Lariano, and if Sanchez is affordable, they won't be outbid for him, since he cost them their number one prospect Turner.

Bobby713

Liriano is one of those guys that could be a front-line starter on a non-contending team or a back-end starter on a contending team.
He is still very young, so there is so much potential but he has not met expectations. As a Mets fan, I would love for them to take a flyer on him..as a team, they can't get much worse.

I'd honestly be surprised if Marcum doesn't come back to Toronto. He said recently he'd like to come back and the team is on the up. Marcum as the fifth starter would be nasty.

He said that while being asked by a Toronto reporter on a Toronto radio station. What else was he supposed to say?

The same reporter later said that Marcum has issues that Anthopoulos did not like and that Anthopoulos was not interested in reacquiring him.

Milwaukee Brewers pitcher and soon-to-be free agent Shaun Marcum says he would welcome a return to the Toronto Blue Jays if the team is interested in his services.

"They're on my list that's for sure," he said. "I enjoyed my time there, I loved the city, loved the coaching staff, so it's definitely a place that I would be interested in."

So there was a gun to his head here?

Bob Elliott of the Toronto Sun hears that the Blue Jays have "called to inquire about the market price" for Shaun Marcum.

Not interested?
