Sloan, that is. One of the most accomplished coaches in professional basketball is still without a job. Are NBA teams really this cheap? WTF is going on?

He said he's not just going to accept any HC position when it's available, he's not desperate.

It's a good question. I wish the Hornets would snatch him up or some other young team.

Waiting for Vinny Del Negro to get the ax.

It takes two to tango.

And to be honest, Sloan's drill sergeant coaching style is outdated in this league full of pampered diva superstars.

Monty Williams is a very good coach.

How do you know he wasn't offered a job and turned it down? Just because we didn't hear about it, the media doesn't know everything...

I can't wait for the Clippers to fire Delnegro and hire Sloan so the Clippers and Lakers can face in the playoffs and Sloan can show 'Antoni how the P&R is supposed to be run and let Jim Buss know that he made a huge mistake in not calling up Sloan when the head coaching job opened up ;-)

I'm not sure if PJ really wants to coach or not, but say VDN really screws up would it be out of the realm of possibility for Phil to take the Clipper job? They have a really good squad and I firmly believe he could experiment quite a bit with that squad. Just food for thought. :)

Why would he want to taint his legacy with Utah by joining another premadona team. The fact that Clippers fans think they would be able to enjoy Sloan is a joke. He's not just another run of the mill coach. The man is a hall of famer from another time and doesnt want to deal with the ******** of the league. He's on his ranch in Indiana with his tractors and living out the rest of his life the way he wants to.

Be happy with that.

Remember how things ended with him and Deron in Utah? I don't want a lazy coach coaching my team

You cant be called a lazy coach when you're a hall of famer. When you've coached for 20+ seasons. Lemme know when the Lakers can keep a coach for more than 2 seasons not named Phil Jackson.
