Considering how bad everyone thought Felton would be, I'll nominate him.

I dont like that this award goes to the guy who has a big jump in counting stats. Harden to me hasnt improved, he's played the exact same game he had last year.

He's having a greater effect though.

Maybe, but this is the most improved award not the who's getting more shots than last year award.

Kobe has games like that once a week with more help and team stability. High usage guards will have a lot of misses and turnovers.

How many threes did he make? Was he getting to the line?

There are a lot of candidates. It just depends on how long some of these guys can maintain the level of play they've displayed so far.
Mayo is an obvious choice.
Harden, if he maintains his current averages.
Glen Davis and Vucevic have both seen a big increase in their numbers.
Bryon Mullens has improved his game.
Batum is putting up great numbers this year.
Holiday is getting a lot more time with the ball, and I expect his role in Philly to be big this season, epsecially considering the pay check they just gave him.

Of course, Andrew Bynum, who was in the running for the award last season, could make a case for himself this year depending what kind role he gets in Philly.

Asik will likely be in contention for the award as well.
I'd say Kemba Walker, but for some reason I don't expect him to keep this level of play up. He's scoring about 6 more points, but his assists haven't really gone up much.

I would say that Harden has the early in-roads on the award (considering it's been given lately to guys like Durant and Love), but other guys like Jordan would get my personal vote.

That said, we haven't even played 10 games yet.

If we are actually going by how much they actually improved over the offseason : its clearly DeAndre Jordan.

If we are statistically: its 1. OJ Mayo 2. James Harden

no one else has much of a case

Watching him play and considering how much I've ripped on him, Demar Derozen looks really good one on one these days and is playing better overall basketball. I have hope for him as a star yet.

Raymond Felton was god awful last year and people were expecting him to suck again this year. He has been a nice surprise thus far.

Ill say OJ Mayo though so far
