View Full Version : Kevin Durant averaging 20-10-5 through first 6 games

KB-Pau-DH2012

First 6 games: 21.4 PPG, 10.6 RPG, 4.8 APG.

First time averaging a double double for his career and he's a small forward.

Very Larry Bird-like IMO.

Yes, but 3 things:

1. KD is only in his 6th season while LeBron is a seasoned vet in his 10th season.

2. This thread isn't about LeBron.

The difference between LeBron and KD is that LeBron might actually keep up those numbers. kD won't

I could see the points going up, rebounds going down a little, and the assists either staying the same or even going up a little. Without Harden more assists will be available for Durant.

Im sure the same thing would happen if it was the Knicks, Nets, or Heat

I must say...the knocks on him coming into the leauge, he has really worked on. He has worked on his playmaking, defense, and rebounding, and he is still so young. I respect his game.

I respect KD, as a man, much more than LeBron. However, I respect LeBron's game. That's all I'll say. Those are nice numbers, but like everyone has said, he can't rebound like that every night and put up 25. I wish those assist numbers would go up, because then he could really start claiming dominance over LeBron.

Munkeysuit
11-10-2012, 04:40 AM
KD is a very talented guy, talented enough to average 6 assists 3 steals and 2 blocks per game as well, but I still cannot shake this feeling I have that he and Russ just isn't enough for this Thunder team to win it all, or even get back to the Finals.
They need the scoring to come from other areas of the floor too.

Kevin Martin can score. What they need is an inside back to the basket threat.

I think the Maynor/Martin combo offsets the loss of Harden.

Rasheed Wallace per 36 minutes 20.8 points, 11.4 rebounds, 0.9 assists, lots of swag, and a 23.36 PER.

Actually, Deng was never really the man in Chicago before Rose got there, it was Ben Gordon.

And second, Boozer was never really the man in Utah either, the engine and motor and franchise players was Deron Williams.

According to some people, Deng is a God

And Boozer was the man in Utah. Deron was the engine, much like Rondo is the engine in Boston, but Boozer and Paul Pierce are "the men" or the go-to guys

Ben Wallace was the engine he was the identity of the team and what the team hung there hat on which was defense. Without Ben's influence the Pistons never become a good team. So which is it? Was Shaq the man (by virtue of his F.MVP) or was Kobe the man( by virtue of his MVP stature)?
