The Los Angeles’ Lakers struggles this season have brought out the very worst in their fans. Head coach Mike Brown’s son, Elijah, received death threats on Twitter. Yikes … Per the OC Register: “The Lakers coach, though, had no idea his son had received threats on Twitter despite having a friend monitor his son’s account. ‘That’s news to me,’ Brown said. ‘I will alert Lakers security. That’s the tough part about this business. To go after somebody’s family or something like that is, in my opinion, just ridiculous. It’s stupid, crazy, whatever you want to call it. They (family members) have nothing to do with what’s going on right now.’ Elijah Brown seemed unfazed by the comments, posting on Twitter that ‘Coaches fault when they lose but players glory when they win.. I’m not trippin well be straight!’ The coach’s son did receive support from Lakers’ family members — Kristen Blake, Steve’s wife, and Daniel Artest, the brother of Metta World Peace. Steve Blake and his family received death threats on Twitter during last season’s playoffs.”

Some fans just have no class whatsoever. Same **** different day. How big a coward do you have to be to threaten a coach's son over something that has nothing to do with you're targeting. People are pathetic.....

finish him! hahah

lol, please
11-09-2012, 02:05 PM
Because it's that serious. :laugh2: Get a life or grow up people. As mad as I was at Kyle Williams on the 49ers last year, the death threats he received were just ridiculous. No one with the minerals to kill sends death threats through twitter and other social media, they "just do it", like Nike, or Lee Harvey. It's sports. Get over your team sucking and move on with life.

I wasn't aware all of the Laker's Nation made these threats.

Does the Grizzlies Nation blanket the actions of a few over an entire fan base or is it just you? (See what I did there?)

this is such a shame. i cringed when i heard this :pity: let me tell everyone this, these are NOT laker fans. these are ***** ***** *** thugs who call themselves laker fans and hide behind social media. those people disgust me. i think i speak for all real laker fans that we respected mike brown as a person; however, we just didnt agree that he was the right coach for this team from the get-go. I hope he does well in all of his endeavours in the future.

The person sending me death threats I would respond with

Jordan---->Kobe
Shaq---->Kobe
Lebron----->Kobe
Wade----->Kobe

Miami---->Lakers
Boston----->Lakers

No lie true or not that is the note or text I would send to said person.
