"Sources told ESPN.com that the Lakers, while having publicly expressed support for Brown in the wake of a 1-4 start, have privately grown sufficiently concerned about the state of the team to the point that management is prepared to look seriously at a coaching change at this early juncture if L.A. can't take advantage of what looks to be multiple winnable games in the upcoming stretch."

Only a fool or a blind fan will think the Lakers got better than last season. Steve Nash was around during prohibition, Pau Gasol plays like he's been having sex before every game and then the 2 biggest egos (Kobe and Howard) are expected to work out? Travesty

Brown is not your problem, that team is a terrible mix of players that will never mesh.

Kuester isn't even an assistant anymore, it would likely be Eddie Jordan if they decide to promote within.

The words Pau Gasol and sex should NEVER be used in the same sentence.

I think, if egos were all put aside, Jerry Sloan would be the best man for the job. Phil Jackson isn't used to working with a traditional PG. Sloan is.

Then we could watch Gasol and Nash run the pick and roll all season and Kobe and Howard can play off the ball ;-)

D'Antonie might be good to... he knows how to use Nash.

sensationalist journalism.
it would never happen this early into the season, while the players haven't gotten accustomed to each other yet, with so many key pieces injured or playing injured.
