Good # for Brandon. I'm a bit surprised, but than again it's only been a couple games.

I think Lowry deserved it for the east but whatever...

No real shockers here. Jennings played very well.

And Harden... well, he's as close to a no brainer as you get for the last week.

The Raps went 1-2, the Bucks went 2-0.

Harden is the obvious choice. As for Jennings... I hope he keeps up this level of play. I'd like to see him take the next step.

It's a contract year for Jennings and he didn't get an extension before the deadline. I'm hoping his level of play keeps up. Don't really care if Monta leaves, but Jennings is a must to re-sign providing he gets paid market value and doesn't get overpaid just because he plays in Milwaukee.

so Jennings gets player of the week because he got a game winning 3?

Jennings- 17 PPG/13 APG/3 RPG
Lowry- 24 PPG/7 APG/7 RPG

Lowry had the better week and didn't even get a nomination..

uh no he didn't have a better week. His contributions didn't mean $%&# since they didn't win. 13 assists compared to 7 to help a team is a bit better

Based off of those numbers, I would rather have Jennings' line from my point guard than Lowry's. And his team went 2-0 compared to 1-2 for Lowry's.

And Harden was a no-brainer for the West.

I've been completely impressed with Lillard. He didn't have a better week than Harden. But he was incredibly impressive. I really like his game.

Check Lowry's advanced stats. He's been hands down the best player of the week.

PER = 35.2 win shares/48 = .424 & true shooting% = .741

Surpasses both Harden and Jennings easily.

I said..specifically...based on the stats the other poster gave. I didn't Jennings had the better week. Just that the stats he gave do not make Lowry look better than Jennings. In other words...he needed to give better stats to make any sort of case. Those specific ones don't make Lowry an over-whelming winner of the week.

The advanced numbers DO show Lowry to have a better week. This just goes to show that the voters look at the numbers the other poster gave and not advanced stats. And it also shows that they take team success into account for an individual award.

Good choices. I wish they did honorary mentions for these

Gotta get the W's too though.

Which has been the case for most of the individual accolades handed out in the NBA.

Not taking away from the other two players, they had outstanding weeks. But I don't think so. You have to be the best player, not the best player on a winning team IMO.
