Who do you guys think will be the first to drop 50 this year? Harden and Kobe already hit 40 plus, but who did you think will hit 50 first. My guess will be KD because hes the purest scorer, plus that harden is getting all the attention I think KD wants to show the reason why hes the reigning champ.

I think Carmelo, with Amare out then the Knicks are going to need his scoring to succeed. I think teams are going to have better scouting reports for the defense on James Harden in a matter of time.

J Crossover!!!!

Bosh had 40 tonight but I think Harden is going to lead the league in scoring this year on that Houston team with little scoring options.

It might be James Harden. Houston is just letting him shot however much he wants. With the green light for unlimited shots and a REALLY good night, he'll drop 50pts.

Durant, Kobe, Melo, Lebron (in that order for 2-5)

Probably Harden since Rockets are letting him go off on the offense.

Kobe. Of course it's a homer pick.

Scouts will be picking up on Harden sooner or later and I don't know how he'll be able to improvise like other top scorers.

i expect Harden to do it, just because Houston seems to be putting the ball in his hands so much, and he seems VERY intent on earning that new contract... lol

Durant is another obvious choice.

I wouldn't say LBJ, not because he can't, but because his game is more geared toward passing. When he has the ball, he has it to make a play, for himself, or for others. When Durant gets the ball, it is to score. Harden does a bit of play making, so the same is not entirely true for him, but he's been scoring a lot.

Maybe Melo, maybe Kobe.

in order of likelihood :
Harden: Really trying to prove something
Kobe: Lakers offense is horrible, Kobe scores 40 and they lose? not 50...right?
Durant/Westbrook - Both can do it, and with Harden gone, may feel the need to.
Lebron
Irving - Due for a game like that
Melo - Absolutely can do it, but watching him play now... he's truly not interested in doing it.

I think out of all current players, either Grant Hill or Kurt Thomas will reach the age fo 50 first. But my money is on Thomas since he was born a day before Grant Hill.
