View Full Version : Jump on the Rockets bandwagon

The Houston Rockets after 2 games are the hottest team in the league. As a life long Rockets fan, I hereby open the bandwagon fans for the next 48 hours. By then they will be 3-0 defeating the Trail Blazers later tonight in their home opener. The Rockets really have a player for everyone. Asians will fall in love with Lin all over again, and Linsanity will emerge once he has a hot week of games. Harden is clearly a bearded beast. Parsons is perfect for the rich white businessmen who purchase the majority of season tickets. Slow white guys who still play at the YMCA can look to Asik, who grabbed 19 rebounds and 0 points last night. Last but not least for all of the Kentucky bandwagon fans we have Jones and Patterson too. Jump on the bandwagon now, because when we add another piece at the deadline, it's too late.

I've been on the bandwagon since we had the tall Chinese guy roaming the paint, but the bearded beast and the slow Turkish guy in the middle have made me feel like I totally jumped on it again.

Yup, definately. If theres 1 group of people that love see their ethnic relatives do well its the Turkish. Heck, we still talk about Hedo as if he were a superstar in the NBA..

I love T-Mac and Harden was my boy in his beardless ASU days, but the Rockets bandwagon is not attractive to me.

As a Rockets fan who could not be more thrilled with this team right now, I'm still trying to keep a level head about this team. I still think the Rockets are at least one big piece away from being a legit playoff contender in the West. But before the season started, I thought they would probably fall in the 9-11 spot in the conference. I'm beginning to think that a 6-8 seed isn't out of the question.

You can go back I said the rockets were my sleeper before the trade after it solidified my opinion. I wasn't sure if harden could lead but he put all my doubts to rest. But I'm still not putting all my bread in the basket for a teams who's two leaders have never started a playoff game. I don't see them making a far run but I definitely see them getting another piece and becoming dangerous in the future IF harden keeps playing like a stud (obviously not avg the crazy numbers he has recently put up)

He could certainly use another scorer on the roster, but I certainly wouldn't say he's surrounded by "garbage." Lin is averaging 16.5/7.0/7.5/2.0 through his first two games, Asik is proving to be every bit worth his contract with his rebounding and defense and Parsons hasn't played well, but was easily one of the best rookies in the league last year. And I'm willing to be that aside from Harden and Lin, one more player breaks out into a decent No. 3 scorer over the next 10-15 games. I'm hoping it's Patrick Patterson or Terrence Jones, but only time will tell.

But they're certainly not "garbage."

Guys KOB is the one who should get all the credit. At the moment of Hardens birth he proclaimed future NBA superstar. We all need to pay respects to the more prophet than poster.

I don't think the Rockets can go anywhere in the playoffs until they get a quality 2 way PF (I haven't seen enough of Morris or Patterson to truly judge) but I will be rooting for them. I loved the Lin era and if anyone saw some of my rantings last night you would have thought that James Harden was my offspring.

Congratulations on the Rockets being relevant again. I hope you aren't doing this too prematurely though. I sincerely hope Harden makes OKC regret their decision (if they aren't already).

I've never disliked the Rockets. Loved Tmac in the day, would rather watch him on a losing team then any new school players/teams..

Im on the wagon. I dont like Harden, kinda got annoyed by Lin..but I cant help it. It's just so sweet to see the Harden/Lin going so hard together lol. I hate the Thunder's gay ***** enough that I'll root for Harden.

First time that I've seen a trade go down and the players playing like they would in a video game kinda. Like no issues or struggling to fit or finding a new role

I like Lin and Harden. Like Terrence Jones. Really miss Omer Asik.

I'll pull for Houston to make the playoffs this year. They seem like a good bunch of guys that play hard.
